now that release actually caught me by suprise....totally missed it. Actually I've never imagined for it to happen. But I'm glad it did happen, though I'm still unsure what version to get, the box or just the concert DVDs :)

pre-production?!?! as nice as it sounds, it sounds scary at the same time. Hopefully the album will be out this year, but I have my doubts now.....

VUK as an opening act to X JAPAN might be interesting and I would definetely want to see that (if it turns out to be more than just fashion show) :)

lol @ overthrowing X Japan. VUK has been teased for more than a decade; it can never live up to that, whether it actually turns out to be good or simple crap.
Furthermore, I'm still not quite sure about the direction VUK is going, both music and show-style wise. Still I have to admit that I'm curious about it and will definetely check it out, if anything goes down seriously.
At the same time I hope that YOSHIKI won't force VUK parts into X JAPAN shows. So far it has been more of a weird break-act in between a show (pretty much a pre-show act that takes part in the middle of the main show....@.@).
If he happens to pull that off at a X JAPAN show I'm physically attending I wouldn't be that upset and just use the time for going to the restroom or getting a drink :D

now that be cool if X did anything like that. Considering how successful Luna Sea were, I'm really hoping for it.

Nice setlist indeed. Love how they do minor changes that leave an impact on the whole show.
About Lunacy show tomorrow, I really have high hopes for that show and the setlist.

oh and I'm already happy to see that they ahve announced the DVD&BDs. Will get the shows for sure :D

I'm curious about the re-recording. Sadly the DVD will be a documentary. Was hoping for a recording of the free gig on 25th (Lunacy Gig in Tokyo Dome).

Great to see that they did G. and SHINE. love those two songs.
And I love the fact that their lives actually have content (20 songs, compared to X JAPAN's recent lives).

lol..this is X JAPAN. Waiting is part of the deal. If they released anything, we'd be so shocked so that we couldn't buy it on release day, because of it actually being released.

Those two lives are great. Very good setlists, has early versions of SCARS and Dahlia and especially SCARS did sound way better back then.
Furthermore there are solo parts by all members, even though Heath solo turns out to be a bit too long, but nothing beats the Rose of Pain performance by Toshi, Pata and hide.
Over all, great classic shows. Somehow I'd wish for X to do such a live again, but doubt that it will actually happen.

well...I dunno if anybody noticed, but The Last Live DVDs have remastered sound and editing....comparing it to bootlegs make this quite obvious, e.g. Weekend has some sound issues with the drumset, audience screams on X are just ridiculous loud - comparing to official CD even makes this obivious.
Thoug I've got to admit that TLL is a great show after all.
Why doesn't anybody recommend aoi yoru (1994.12.30). This one is a killer show. X as an opener, Joker as 2nd song and Rusty Nail as an encore....This show comes quite with a twist + amythyst paino & violin version, Say Anthying performed by Toshi on 12string guitar + saxophon player... great live indeed.

Luna Sea - The Final Act Day 1 (2000.12.26) Into the Sun

Sugizo plays a beautiful solo with a broken guitar string before switch instruments.
This has to be best solo period.

If you just want to watch the solo go to  4:12

good job on that one!!

the setlist being tiny is the only downside of the shows. the performances itself are great, especially Toshis voice. IT's been ages since he sang almost flawless.
If they had done 2 or 3 songs more and less gapping, this could have been the best shows so far.
