Other Bands / When a music freak gets bored...
« on: April 06, 2008, 08:28:15 PM »
Bon Jovi's Without Love and King's Not Throwing The Keys' intro have some kind of resemblance, but just the intro XD I love them both.

Also, I'm not a fan of that band, but a friend that is told me Yoshiki took some stuff from Rosenfeld and Loudness and added it to songs like Blue Blood and Rose of Pain.

I want to see:
X JAPAN
Demon Kogure
Seikima II
B'z
Jun-ji
Toshi
Hironobu Kageyama
L'Arc~en~Ciel (as long they don't play shitty Smile/Awake songs)
BUGY CRAXONE
Daita
BONNIE PINK
Aerosmith
Bon Jovi
Joaquín Sabina
Lenny Kravitz

I wish I could have seen them but I can't go back in the past:
X (indies)
X
hide
Toshi (Healing tours rock, but I like his early 90's stuff as well)
SIAM SHADE
B'z (I love them, but late 80's to early 90's music is my favorite)
L'Arc~en~Ciel (90's = FTW)
ZARD
WANDS (original setup)
DEEN (original setup)
Gackt (2004 til now = suck)
Supercar
Night Hawks
Queen

I have seen live:
Backstreet Boys (I was a 11-12 y/o girl, I had bad tastes too lol, plus my godmother gave me the tickets)
Edmar Castaneda (KICK ASS)
Tia Fuller Quartet (the drummer made me feel lesbo, she's awesome)
Catherine Russell
Bunch of Jazz artists and bands on a Jazz Festival

Yeah I know, this is a sucky small latin american country, cool artist don't even know we exist.

Its great you can make it from so far away Radical!. the hotel i'm staying at is a holiday inn(i think) which is on the same block as MSG. but its about 300$ a night, but split between 5 people it will be like $60 somthing each, which is not bad. :D

Really? I mean, how many beds does one of those rooms have? or how many can you ask? if they can get us 2 double beds and one individual or something like that, I think I may book there.

I'm from Panama and my two best friends and my boyfriend are going with me, maybe my dad will come too XD he's crazy and likes to fool around A LOT, so I can practically see him at the concert playing dumb.

The round trip from Panama (that is, Central America, limits with Colombia) cost about $660, and I'm thinking of staying the whole week, it's a good chance to know the city, I've always wanted to, and omg the museums. So yeah, I'm booking from Sunday 7 to Sunday 14, I would stay more time but I'm in the middle of University, so yes, I will be skipping it for a whole week just for X

Btw, if anyone knows something about cheap hotels near MSG, or at least near enough, please do tell.

Toshi / Help needed about this Toshi album..

though for a maxi single 2000 isn't cheap either :P

It actually costs 1,500 and I think it's a good price, but the 2000yen thing is because the Limited Edition will be autographed by Toshi, and when those are sell out, the cost will be reduced to the original price.

That's not Earth in the Dark, because Earth in the Dark was released on April 1st, and there says: Release Date: April 19, 2008. I don't know, I don't trust YesAsia actually, the only thing that has to do with that date it's a concert Toshi's gonna have, says his official site.

I think Radicalblues commented that he is 15.....probably.

That was me actually, although Blues is my bf, lol.

And yes, I do agree with what you say about people never being pleased, because that's actually human nature, we always want MORE.

...and they started talking about Yoshiki's personality. Ok, who gives a crap about that? people will always have their opinion, and you can't help assholes to exist, but what amuses me is that that's the opinion of an ignorant 15 y/o "rebel" that has nothing else to do, and he didn't even assisted the concerts. Man, I haven't seen a single person that actually went to the first day complaining like a granny with hemorrhoids on a department store.

So yes, his post is as smart as Bush is

I really like the fact that his staff is working fast on translating everything he says to English for us to understand.

And omg I want that single, already bought it.

OH, SHIT! I didn;t know about that... damn the daylight saving!

So it'll be our time +7 to get the Japanese time, right?

I don't really know where you're from, but Japan Time Zone (Tokyo's) is +9GMT.

I want them to perform Rose of Pain, Desperate Angel and Voiceless Screaming, with a surprise special guest called Taiji, but that's just me dreaming :(

Okaaay, that's really weird *Drop* -_-
As for me, I for sure won't change my mind about certain songs just because something rather unrelated happend (Toshi rejoining X years later doesn't really affect the songs, does it..)

Aber the "fucking sexy Toshi" on the new CD cover... somehow that's really... unfitting. To me it looks like they try to change the image a little to gain more buyers. As not many X listeners will like the normal healing music. Well, nice that they figured that out, but really, Toshi's healing stuff block with a black background??? After all the white, light and flowers and children and what not, that is REALLY strange.
(Yay for advertisment! =_=; )

Some months ago, on the Kizna station interview, Toshi said he finally understood that singing X's songs and screaming his lungs out was also a way of healing. People grow, I don't see anything wrong in that, at all.

I'm a marketeer myself, and even though MASAYA produces his music, you can totally see that he changed his marketing team (even though he didn't seem to have any while he was on his healing tours). He's got a new site, fan club membrecy, a better taken-care-of Myspace and he's now releasing Limited and Regular editions of his new single. I could bet my ass that Yoshiki (maybe X JAPAN manager) sent some MK&PR people to him.

As for the cover itself, I don't see anything out of the extraordinary, he just appeared on it for the first time, and I could write various interpretations of the picture. I think it's totally accurate with the name, he's not showing his bare chest or anything (even though I wish he did, lawl).

Pretty natural that interest in everything related to X Japan and its members would increase now with the reunion stuff.

But if that makes people take another look at Toshi's solo career-- so what?  Was there a deadline announced for when people can begin to like Toshi's music? :P  More fans = more sales, so it's good for Toshi anyway.

I haven't heard the new songs yet myself; the Toshi songs I've heard previously just aren't my thing.  But if others like it then great, enjoy it.

Even drastically changing people's mind toward him? I don't find wrong to people suddenly like him, but I didn't know that was natural as well. You have no idea how many post of "I didn't like his solo career but now that he's back with X, I do" or "Toshi's back to X! I don't hate Masaya anymore" I've read.
So yes, it makes you wonder.

Er...who does? :P I doesn't think someone really changed his mind about likeing it or not. Some people might like the new song, and that maybe because they tried to mix in some rock? I don't think that has anything to do with X Japan's reunion o_O;

Tell that to the docens of PM's I've received lately on different forums AND how the download counter of my Toshi stuff shot after I.V. was released

He just wore another kind of clothing of what he was used to, he looks awesome, and cut the "FiNaLlyYyyYY OuuuURR ToSHEeh Iz BaK" crap. He never used that kind of formal clothing before (just for hide funeral, obvious troll is obvious), so where's the "back" of that?

Now that X got back together everybody seems to like his solo career with Masaya  I wonder why...
