I am so very happy about this news. All I need to ensure now is to get a ticket. Travelling to Taiwan won't be a problem for me. Still holding out for a HK show though  :)

Dude, I saw this thing posted by darkcat21 and now his thread is gone. WTF is wrong with people here? you could simply have added the link to his thread, instead of deleting it and creating a new one just to take the credits.

And actually she (or he, who knows) has broken the rules because they said that in the discussion topic you MUST link to the news thread, not to an external link.

Huh.  I also remember seeing a thread about the Taiwan concert here already, with a number of people posting on it about how they hope they can go and etc.

What happened to that?

I hope there will be some kind of explanation as to why darkcat's topic was deleted?

This is getting weird.

Hahahahha!

"The decision to play in Taiwan was made after over 10,000 fan letters from Taiwan arrived at Yoshiki's studio in Los Angeles, with entreaties to play there."

That warms my heart.

While this mystery of the missing topic remains unsolved..

Anyone thinking about going to the Taiwan show?

On Sunday, X Japan announced that they will be holding their first Asia concert on August 2. It will take place at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan.

This is the band's third announced overseas concert since their reunion. They already have scheduled shows in Paris on July 5 and in New York on September 13. More international concert dates are expected to be revealed in the future.

I hope it has something to do with the California rumor.

But either way, thanks as always for the updates darkcat. :D

Wonder when we'll learn why the original thread was deleted?

You mean... the Others hijacked the thread and took it to a secret research island? :o

Either that or we're all already dead.  (In case we're not dead: watch out for polar bears.)

Haha  yeah let's just keep away from feeding on shrooms in general and there won't be any polar bears or magic clouds ;D

I hope they add more europe dates. It's a shame to call it world tour if they play one concert in 3 of the continents. Just check out Miyavi's world tour. That guy is crazy! That should be called world tour!

Agreed , It would seem plausible that they would perform other shows due to the large gap between the currently announced shows. I am however optimistic that Yoshiki will announce more tour dates.

offtopic : good to see LOST fans here :)

It's good they're adding more dates to the tour gradually.

Wow, 10 000 letters from Taiwan fans?

...I don't think Australia has a chance lol

I don't think they'll scale down their setup for any 'smaller' shows. If they were to tour Australia for example, I'm sure there would be significant interest to hold a national tour, but I couldn't imagine them being able to fill big arenas like the Entertainment Center (Approx. 10,000 capacity) or even the Hordern Pavilion for that matter (Approx. 5,500 capacity). Maybe a theater tour or something like that.

They could always join the bill on any number of various festivals around the world but I don't think they would fit and get the appreciation they deserve there. They are too unique to be put alongside most of the generic or unmusical rubbish out there today.

I apologize for the belated answer. For reasons that don't matter here I haven't been able to  log back in any earlier.

And I deleted the original thread because at the time I saw it, the night after the hide summit, it looked to me that it had been posted when the news had been out in Japan since people were texting out of Ajinomoto Stadium on their cell phones as soon as the announcement was made - and therefore appeared on lots of unofficial sources almost instantly - but before it was officially released.

As I was at Ajinomoto in an official capacity, I could not have possibly allowed a pre-release post to stand.

What I've found out since then is that there is a bug in the forum software that doesn't adjust for summer time, so while summer time is in effect in countries that change, time for me in Japan - which doesn't switch - is always off, which lead me to the wrong conclusion of pre-release post.

Your answer is appreciated, however:

Since when did X Freaks become an official forum, and/or a forum where only officially-released information is "allowed to stand"?

This place is NOT JRR, thank god, and I sure as hell don't want to see it become JRR.

So, just to eliminate the confusion, could you point out the X Freaks rule that says "no posting of news before it's officially released"?  I've looked at the rules, and I didn't see that one.  Surely you can see where the enforcement of non-existent rules can be perceived as, shall we say, a rather unique and original way to moderate? ;)

Why not? Hollywood said it, this place is NOT JRR, and there are no written rules (as all rules are supposed to be, not inside your volute mind) that say so.

For me, it's just a whim that you have for having the exclusivity of everything, and abusing of your moderation powers in the forum without leaving further explanations.
