He may be talking about recording for violet UK or other things but, I doubt it, I reckon we won't see the album until the end of the year.

Well he might have meant post-production (which, with Yoshiki, will take a loooooot of time)...

When he was going around saying the album was 90% done his latest demo's didn't have any drum recording, and a few weeks later he recorded the English version of Tears (which actually is just the original, with English vocals over the Japanese parts. Toshi's original English lyric recordings were left untouched)

We should all vote for old songs.

I'm sorry if this was a post from someone here, but this comment on the facebook page pissed me off.

"Endless Rain, Say Anything, Tears, Forever Love, and X. WE ARE X!! Unfortunately I won't get to hear these live =("

So, you voted for basically the same old boring setlist we always get anyway, and from the sound of it you can't even make it to the concerts, in that case, why are you deciding the songs for us!?

yep, it would be better *or at least fair* if the songs are chosen by those fans who will attend the shows.
*though I don't find this "old" setlist to be boring ^^

Since the 1980s, X Japan has sold more than 30 million records and packed out the Tokyo Dome 18 times, comfortably eclipsing Bon Jovi. (And you know  Bon Jovi is Big in Japan.) Now, with their first-ever U.S. tour kicking off this month, to be followed by an English-language album due early next year, X Japan's legendary frontman—who endorses a plethora of products, from energy drinks to a credit card bearing his likeness; who even has his very own Hello Kitty doll, the Yoshikitty—is plotting his American rawk offensive. "Born to Be Free," which blends operatic Freddie Mercury-like vocals with the propulsive force of Metallica circa ... And Justice for All, is his opening salvo.

I voted. I hope they play X, Kurenai, some older songs like orgasm and celebration (although a LOT of my favorites are by hide...), and a ballad. They need one ballad...

And the article he linked to really got me pumped. I'm REALLY excited for this now. I'll start praying that they don't need to cancel, since I'm only going to their last show...

oh come on, dont always hope for the old song. mostly, its the first time for USA fans to SEE X Japan live, of course they ll expect X Japan perform their best song such as rusty nail, silent jealosy, art of life and some of their best ballad like forever love, tears, endless rain, we can avoid that. i havent got a chance to See X live, if i got a chance, i also hope they play their best song and also X Japan also will play their popular song to their fans. people should understand that and dont said their old list is boring. its reality, accept that

The rock songs from the Dahlia album, Rusty Nail, Scars, Dahlia have never been considered by majority as the best rock songs of the band, even if that was the case in 1995-1997 its not the case now, most people think the Bliue Blood/Sadistic Desire stuff its their best rock material, and this is the best chance to get it back into live shows (and if that happens, Yoshiki hopefully wont stop playing them as soon as they become big and start playing big stadiums, big metal songs like Blue Blood are what huge concerts are made for.)

I prefer Rusty Nail and Dahlia than Blue Blood...any day.....:D
Just saying though....I guess for you I 'm in the minority since you say that most ppl would prefer Blue Blood and Sadistic Desire...~
Anyway, I'm not gonna vote as I'm not going and as people already said it would be unfair for those who aren't going to be the ones who chose...:-P
Another thing though......seriously many of the die hard fans will vote for older songs especially since it's the songs that aren't being played often.
However, I'm pretty sure that there are enough people who are going to the lives and aren't that huge fans but only know a couple of songs. If those people vote then I'm sure they'll vote for things like Forever Love, Rusty Nail, I.V. etc.....so, they will probably win over those voting for the older songs...:-P

Yeah, I'm a Yoshiki fangirl. SUE ME.

I'm thinking they need to play I.V. It got fairly big in the US so I think the fans that are there will want it.

There is no doubt they will play that because IV is from their newer songs. I think almost all the new songs will be played, that seems logical.
It is in the older songs the setlist will be altered. And not much songs, because like it was already written in another topic; on a concert tour, bands have mostly the same setlist.

But anyway, whatever they play, it will be great concerts!
I suppose the concerts will not be ustreamed???
