Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki collapsed again
« on: April 26, 2024, 02:18:20 PM »
https://www.barks.jp/news/?id=1000246907

This article states Yoshiki collapsed from overwork. He's under hospital care in Tokyo right now...

He is at the beginning of another part of his life; after being overly busy for a very long time now some strengths are slowly starting to disappear...

Heath's death was a hard blow and we know Yoshiki's character; facing these facts are difficult to cope with for everyone, but for him probably much more...

When you start to be 50 or 55 you feel you have to let go of an image of yourself that belongs to the past and accept that the world around you little by little changes, transforms.

Sometimes some people around you disappear too soon...

It's a very slow process, but you can feel it clearly and it takes a certain push to face it without sinking.

Everybody knows that Yoshiki is what he is, sometimes pretending to be larger than life; let's hope he will recover soon, I think he is certainly not alone.

He'll probably come back announcing another never-to-be X Japan release, and then we'll know he is fully recovered  ;)

let’s take back life,
earth, moon and abundance.

If not interesting just scroll down... This song is very much different from the ones you're used to listen to here, but its chords and the turn of the saxophone are so beautiful to me that I couldn't help but share them.

Everything here is linked to the atmosphere of Italy in the 70s. It is a song of hope aimed at all those "happy gypsies", free and non-conformist, who wanted to change the world in those years, yet I have no intention of conveying any political message.

(The last four verses of the final recapitulation are freely reworked from "Cantata of a Lusitanian puppet" by Peter Weiss")

'I also saw happy Gypsies'

It's true that we can't see the light from the window
Because the night always wins over the day and the night produces no blood.
It's true that our air is becoming more and more girlish
And he gets chased along dead-end streets.
It's true that we can't speak and that we always talk too much.

It's true, we spit on the ground
When we see a hunchback, a thirteen or a drunk pass by.
Or when we don't want to upset the wonderful balance
Of endless hatefulness
Of a happiness without the worst.

It's true that we don't want to pay
The guilt of having no guilt and that we prefer to die.
Rather than lower your face,
It's true, we always look for love in the wrong arms.

It's true that we don't want to change our winter into summer,
it's true that poets scare us.

Because poets caress their humps too much,
They love the smell of weapons,
They hate the end of the day.
Because poets always open their window
Even if we say it's the wrong window.

It's true that we don't understand each other, that we never speak the same language.
And we are afraid of the dark and also of the light,
It's true that we have so much to do that we never do anything.

It's true that the road often seems like hell,
A voice in which we cannot be together,
Where we never recognize our brothers.

It is true that we drink the blood of our fathers
And we hate all our women and all our friends.
But I also saw happy gypsies running after each other,
Making love and rolling on the floor.
I also saw some happy gypsies in Piazza Maggiore
To get drunk on the moon,
Of revenge and war

We are the ones who enrich the earth,
we who bear
the sleeping sickness and malaria;
we harvest cotton, rice and wheat
and we plant corn
on the whole highland.

We get into forests, we plough savannas,
our arms reach
every day farther and farther away.
From us the treasures of the earth come,
and with them all the others
have an advantage.

And we are the ones who embellish the moon
with our life
covered with rags and glass stones.
The same life that others repulse back
like an insult,
like a spider in a room.

Let’s take the reins of our life, our whole life,
let’s take back life,
earth, moon and abundance.

It’s true that we don’t understand each other,
that two of us never speak
the same language,
and that we’re afraid of the dark and even of the light, it’s true
that we are so busy
that we never do anything.

It’s true that our path often looks like a hell
or like a voice where we can’t stay together,
where we never recognize our brothers.
It’s true, we drink the blood of our fathers,
we hate all our women
and all our friends.

But I also saw happy Gypsies
running after each other, making love
and rolling on the ground.
I also saw happy Gypsies
in Piazza Maggiore
getting drunk on moon, revenge and war.

I also saw happy Gypsies
running after each other, making love
and rolling on the ground.
I also saw happy Gypsies
in Piazza Maggiore1
getting drunk on moon, revenge and war.

Yoshiki / Re: Under the Sky Roadshow
« on: January 08, 2024, 05:40:47 AM »
Is it worth watching?

what would it make worth watching for you and what not?

Why not? I always liked Yoshiki's music, would it be rock or classical, and his collaborations with other artists.

It's an unique chance to see him in a full performance on stage without TLRS.

The title itself reminds me the story and inspiration of the band's first times ('We are X': 'everything is possible', 'everything fades out in this world but pain never disappears...', the sense of loss of what you took for grantede etc.).

I know it's just an illusion, but I think it will work anyway (if you bypass Yoshiki's 'prima donna' attitude and the past 20 o 30 years of blablabla, of course  ;D )

I'm afraid that Yoshiki is completely exhausted both physically and emotionally
In his latest images on social media he looks completely drained out

he posted something on twitter, if it's not a fake account it seems that his american manager also died...  :-\

seems it's not a fake

Yes, thank you for having shared these words <3

Heath / Re: News of Heath's death

Today’s news has been a shock to all of us. I had no idea Heath was sick, and this is no doubt a tragedy. My heart goes out to his bandmates, friends, and family. 55 is far too young.

I really want to just thank Heath for an incredible career. Heath’s importance to X Japan cannot be overstated. He was a key band member that spent years contributing to the finest metal band in Japanese history.

It is incredible that his first project with the band was “Art of Life”. It’s my favorite X Japan song (one of my all- time- favorite songs, in fact), and it really is amazing that the first thing he had to tackle was a 30+ minute metal- opus! He then obviously recorded bass for all of the Dahlia songs and held down the fort for all the gigs and for the legendary Last Live. I am glad he got a second stint with the reunion, too. I am hoping we get to hear his final recorded parts with X Japan, someday.

I am happy he got to play with Yoshiki one last time, recently. That will go down as a very special moment. It is heartbreaking he said he hopes the band could play Tokyo Dome again, and I hope they do in his memory. hide and Taiji have gotten many tributes from the band, Heath no doubt deserves the same.

Life is short, even if they never play together again I hope the rest of the band can make amends again and find common ground. X Japan has always had a lot of darkness surround it for some reason, but it always found away to push through and make something beautiful.

Thank you, Heath. I hope you rest well.

We are X.

thank you for these words, absolutely agree

I would like to post his part in 2017 live Acoustic Tout but I can't find it

let's remember him with one of his performances

The two of us on a lonely road

When the day is over

Ask me why I lied to you
Isn't it obvious you don't like the truth?

You'll know that I've been standing right before you
Scared to breathe in case you blow away
Any day"

Apart from us nobody seems to miss X Japan :-\ . Anyway this is not an X Japan project.
As a matter of fact the band doesn't exist any more and I think the breackup between Yoshiki and Toshi is final.

Toshi was not called because he would answer 'no' or Toshi was called (I don't believe it) and answered 'no', or Yoshiki simply doesn't want to involve Toshi in his projects and in his life anymore.
What we see is Yoshiki doing his things and the other members doing theirs.
I think Yoshiki keeps in touch only with Sugizo - and perhaps sometimes with Pata - (but Yoshiki / Sugizo doesn't mean 'X Japan').

Anyway I miss Toshi all the same, but I'll get over it  8)
I'm curious to see the live show and I'm happy the movie will come out.
P.S. I don't miss Marilyn Manson ;D
