Under the Sky returns to London.
There will be another Q & A with Yoshiki in December

https://www.music-news.com/news/Underground/165731/YOSHIKI-Under-The-Sky-documentary-feat-Sarah-Brightman-The-Chainsmokers-Nicole-Scherzinger-St-Vincent?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Why London again?
They already had a screening in September.
Might there be a promotour like the one we had for "We are X"
I couldn't find anything yet.

Probably. Yoshiki also did 2 "We Are X" screenings in Amsterdam a few years ago.

Maybe he's afraid his show/tour won't sell out in smaller cities?

So far we only have a confirmed screening on London. I think Paris or Berlin would work as well.

Regarding the "We are X" Amsterdam screenings...I think the screening at the-International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam in November 2016 was the first screening of "We are X" in Europe.
I seem to remember another European screening around the same time somewhere in Germany (film festival Braunschweig?) but unlike the IDFA screening Yoshiki didn't attend that one,
The bigger promotion tour was almost a year later.

It would have been nice if more European locations had been added.

Londoners are quite lucky this year. 1 concert and two Q&As.

by the look of it Under the Sky will be released on Prime in the US in spring.

I wish We are X and Yoshiki: Under the Sky would be released on Prime in other countries as well

Hopefully it will get a physical release at some stage. With We Are X, the only way I was able to watch it was buy a copy of the Blu-Ray from the UK as we have the same region code here, (NZ). I don't believe it has ever been on any of the streaming services here. I expect this release to be much the same, if not smaller, than We Are X.

(Interesting to note though, I do remember seeing the We Are X soundtrack in a music store here! There were only a couple of copies, and I wouldn't have been surprised if they didn't sell!)

Ah, not sure when it has been updated, (must have been over the last couple of days?), but the banner on Twitter now states: "COMING SOON IN THEATERS and STREAMING WORLDWIDE". So hopefully "worldwide" is actually worldwide.

Am about half through right now and...very much what I expected. Performances of songs interspersed with Yoshiki's monologue around how he knows the artists he is performing with, his life growing up, etc.

Two things I do want to highlight:

1) The performance of Hero by Jane Zhang is probably my favourite version of the song. Her voice is great.
2) Hyde and Sugizo's performance of Red Swan is awesome. I have never really been interested in Hyde taking over vocals for X Japan, however, I have truely come to appreciate his voice over the last couple of years, (solo works, "Anti", and what we have seen so far with TLRS). Perhaps we could see shows and releases as X Japan feat. Hyde, like Red Swan was originally meant to be?

Why not? I always liked Yoshiki's music, would it be rock or classical, and his collaborations with other artists.

It's an unique chance to see him in a full performance on stage without TLRS.

The title itself reminds me the story and inspiration of the band's first times ('We are X': 'everything is possible', 'everything fades out in this world but pain never disappears...', the sense of loss of what you took for grantede etc.).

I know it's just an illusion, but I think it will work anyway (if you bypass Yoshiki's 'prima donna' attitude and the past 20 o 30 years of blablabla, of course  ;D )

I could absolutely live with Hyde replacing Toshi

What's your favorite song of the movie?

I love "Closer" with The Chainsmokers..

The drum battle at the end is great
