Just some random fun, I hope everyone knows how the game's working, everyone can add as many symptoms as she/he wants :wink:
You know you're addicted to X, when...
- you spend all your money on hair products (especially hairspray)
- your bf/gf left you because you were always screaming "GET TO ORGASM! GET TO ORGASM!" when you two were...in action :P
- your English teacher does not understand why you can't pronounce "hide" correctly anymore
- (for the hetero girls) everyone thinks you're lesbian because you only have posters of "females" in your room lately
- you don't remember your real haircolour anymore :(
- (for bi/lesbian girls) after your coming out, your family/frends tell you they knew it all along, because you only had posters of "those chicks" hanging in your room

Since when are Anna and Unfinished hide obsessionists? You don't have to be obsessed with something to realize a joke is tasteless :P Or like Lee once said (nox exactly like that, I guess) "You don't have to be a great guitarist to spot one who sucks" :P

Actually I thought fans of hide would feel offended because that implies that they are obsessed enough to copy hide, not because it was about hide dying.

I only heard the other X once and don't remember it much. I was 17 or so and much more singleminded in my X love than I am now (not that I love them any less nowadays, but I've become more... open to other things too), so my immediate X-obsessed teenage response was: WTF??? X (Japan) had to change their name for THIS shit?
I should probably try them again sometime. :P

from ebay. Sometimes they have some of yoshiki cds for sale. But becareful, lots of them sell the 'pirated' ones by Miya Records (Taiwan) instead of Extasy Records (Japan). I've bought couple of live DVDs before and turned out they were all not original ones :S

-when you have almost 200 X songs on your iPod (different variations, concerts, etc)
-your walls are covered in pictures of each member
-you set your cellphone wallpaper to Yoshiki
-every time you go to Hot Topic, you run to the magazines and scan them for any mention of X (I actually bought one once, without looking through it, and it turns out there was a mention of X Japan, hide, and lemonED! So I put it on my bulliten board, lol)
-you listen to X every day, and if you don't, you will be very unhappy

for almost a year I became bored of music and my guitar was neglected. when X Japan came back with "I.V." I rediscovered the band because I had forgotten about them (very easy to do when you can't buy any of their CDs here and after a while I stopped asking if CD stores could import X Japan, and this was before I got a debit-VISA card, so I gave up back then.)
in the last month i've really been listening to them alot and learning how to play their songs on guitar. im not as heavily into music as i used to be because i grew out of so much of what i used to listen to (black metal/grind and stuff like that) but its nice to have one band to be obsessed with again. an obsession that will cost me (literally).
i guess this doesnt have anything to do with the topic, oh well.

Well, if I ever heard anyone talking about X perhaps. I'm generally the one that does the mentioning, everyone else just nods, agrees, then carries on :( So unappreciative! The day I do hear someone mention them though, look out! ;D

In the PIANO LIFE OF ES DUR,I'm LONGING for FOREVER LOVE,but what I've found is just a LOVE REPLICA in THE LAST SONG,but the WHITE WIND FROM MR.MARTIN have DRAIN my VANISHING LOVE of my DAHLIA.
In this PROLOGUE of WHITE POEM I,at last I've found the ART OF LIFE of X.

Jeez, I just went through the entire 10 pages, and I'm guilty of almost all of it. :D
I have a couple:
-you follow a guy around Seattle for 30 minutes just because he has a big "X" on his shirt, only to find out it says "X Files"
-you then get angry at the guy with the X Files shirt and collapse dramatically as an Endless Rain falls on your heart
-you cry every time you watch an X concert
-you talk with a random girl for 10 minutes about how much you cry every time you watch an X concert
-you find the Blue Blood and Jealousy albums at a convention and cradle them in your arms even though you own them (the woman asked, "Are you going to buy those?..." and I replied, "No, I just like how they feel." xD'')
-you actually hurt your self (specifically your arms from doing the "X" sign) whenever you watch a concert or PV

- You know all the songs by heart and can sing them even though you probably pronounce 55% of it wrong, have no idea what most of the lyrics mean and mix up verses (guilty...XD)

from ebay. Sometimes they have some of yoshiki cds for sale. But becareful, lots of them sell the 'pirated' ones by Miya Records (Taiwan) instead of Extasy Records (Japan). I've bought couple of live DVDs before and turned out they were all not original ones :S

This one has taken me a while and it involves getting a number of people around you interested in X or finding friends that like X. But I finally did it, lol!
Example: People comparing other people to members of X (hair, clothes, face) "I saw a lady yesterday with blondish hair...you know, like Yoshiki's"
There's tons more out there lol but that was the first one I could think up. You definitely know you're an X addict when people have to try and relate to you because you don't get it any other way XD

Thanks. :) My son fell in love and apologized. He really did think I was going to show him someone like Daisy Stripper or Sug (whom I DO happen to like, but not love.) When he saw the opening of the concert he sat up, took notice, and didn't speak for the full 4 hours. He never goes anywhere without his Last Live discs now and he tells everyone who will listen about the band. He still cries when talking about their hardships, the big powder puff. He is also a huge hide fan now as well. It makes us both laugh that he cries, since he is a pretty tough guy. As he is very active in the local alternative music scene, he is slowly helping me turn the preconceptions of Jrock away from the kawai Oshare Kei image people seem to have, into the one with 'balls' despite whatever 'kei' genre a band might or might not fall into. (if any) It's about the music, ne? The look just enhances it.
I is mondo envious of the Origin of hide order! I am just beginning to obtain my collection. I have Yoshiki's biography, The Last Live DVDs which are like cherished religious items. lol. I also have a copy of the hide Memorial Summit and have been able to find some concerts on VEOH online. Until I get back to work, ordering what I want is a dream, but it will happen soon enough. I would love to obtain a hide with Spread Beaver jacket as well. ;D I am SUCH a clothe's horse!

I mean, in Belgium we have three shops where you can get it XD So it shouldn't be that hard to find in other countries either. Just keep on searching!
