Has anyone else heard of this band from taiwan?  They're amazing, and also playing at ozzfest which kicks ass.

Er, how do you PRONOUNCE that?

And no, I haven't heard of them, but I might give them a listening now.

Incidentally, with their weird name, I had first suspected your email account had been hacked and that this was a meds repost. :P

Heh, I actually checked their message board for how to pronounce their name.  Apparently a lot of their fans just call them Shan-Ling because thats what they're known as in Taiwan.  But someone said they pronounce it as just thonic in english.

Edit: also I should probably mention, if you don't like rough vocals then this band is not for you.

I don't really think many of you will enjoy this band at all, it's not really accessible. Anyway, I've heard the last 3 albums of theirs and I think 9th Empyrean & Seediq Bale are pretty neat.

Considering to get their dvd as a chance-buy, it's not easy for a band playing this genre to survive in Taiwan.
