Y'all might have noticed that Heath stopped singing chorus and eventually the microphone stand was removed that used to be kept in front of him. Any idea why?

*nuzzles*

Good question!
I asked that myself too a couple of times. Also he is not singing during his solo anymore.

positively unsure。

I noticed it too! And I seriously want to know. Does anyone know anything related to the issue? Would love to hear his voice sometimes.

Sometimes our tears blinded the love
We lost out dreams along the way
But I never thought you'd trade your soul to the fates
Never thought you'd leave me alone

I really wonder if it was his decision or Yoshiki's. We know that Mr. Y can be really picky when it comes to vocals ("Your english is not good enough") so we can't remove that hypothesis from the table, but imo, I think it's more likely that it was his decision.

I know not what tomorrow will bring. - F.P.

The latest Week End performances were terrible because of the backing vocals. Instead of Heath+Sugizo as it should be, it was Sugizo with a very low microphone + an awfully loud recording from Last Live with hide's voice + drum leaks.

Nobody understands Yoshiki's mind. On the Acoustic Concerts the backing vocals for Week End were sang only by Sugizo, including the parts which were previously sang by Heath.

the simplest explanation is that X members (not the historical ones, of course) consider themselves musicians for hire and they feel like they belong less than ever to a band. (Not surprisingly...) So they feel like they're allowed to overlook minor details such as background vocals.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Every musician of X is hired. Even Yoshiki. He owns the company behind X Japan but for gigs the company hires all the musicians on stage.

btw. Yoshiki is the only owner of X Japan today.
