2024 Activity Predictions

Happy New Year everyone!

I thought it might be interesting to get peoples’ thoughts on what might end up happening this year, in terms of activity. I think at this point we can use "X Japan" activity and "Yoshiki" activity interchangeably.

So here goes, perhaps we can do two lists, (3 items on each), one of what we realistically expect to happen, and a wish list of things that would be nice.

Towards the end of the year, I will review the thread and summarise how we have all got on!

Expected Activity:

• Yoshiki releases the single, Requiem
• "X Japan" perform at Heath's planned memorial summit, though Hyde will step in with vocals
• The Last Rockstars will do further concerts, release 2 singles, (including the upcoming Tekken 8 theme), and announce an upcoming album release, (though it won't be released this year)

Wishlist:

I am going to keep this somewhat realistic!

• All of X Japan's studio albums will become available on streaming services
• Some sort of X Japan release will happen, though it will be either a re-release, or new compilation that may include some unreleased live recordings
• The Last Rockstars will see some sort of physical release, whether it be a single, live video, or album

I agree on the TLRS activity and the memorial but I would not hold my breath for a Requiem Release (Yoshiki being Yoshiki)

Wishlist - additional items
* International release of Yoshiki: Under the Sky
* We finally see the release of "Yoshiki life of a rockstar" which had been announced on Youtube years ago
* The X Japan Album (a girl can dream)
* Release of the YUTS OST

Expected activity:
Yoshiki dinner shows.
TLRS will release some new songs and some activities.
Yoshiki will announce some new projects which may end up nowhere.

Hey, happy new year everyone <3

what actualy will happen:

• Yoshiki releases a new fashion line
• Pata is doing a Tour with Ra:IN
• Sugizo releasing a new Solo album

aaaaand the wishlist:

• o/c release of the new X Album, under development since more then 14 years
• another (actual) world tour of X
• I want them to play a show with all the old songs and their old fashion/hairstyle like Luna Sea did some years ago would be nice

Yoshiki's New Year TV performance was the stuff of nightmares. Bringing back the Generative AI Yoshiki vocals for Endless Rain was bad enough, but Rusty Nail with a motley rabble made me miss Toshi's voice even more.

I predict there will be a Heath memorial concert - if not in the summer then in October. I predict that intense legal negotiations will yield an appearance by Toshi - but he will either perform as a solo act, or have an awkward engineered photo op alongside Yoshiki, Sugizo and Pata.

That's my conservative prediction - my bold one is that Yoshiki will realise that the impasse with Toshi is insurmountable and he will release further X Japan songs (ala Angel), or, possibly the entire album at a whim.

Aside from seeing Toshi and Yoshiki mend things, my biggest wish is getting Kiss the Sky. I suppose it’s possible since they put out Angel
