It really feels like a palliative album...
I'll revise this judgement if the "new" album is released in the same time but even if it's the case, I don't see the point of this soundtrack (except, you know, money) since they could easily put LA VENUS and Without You on the "new" album and get it over with (which they might do anyway).
I know they kind of work a lot on the promotion of the movie ("a lot" as in comparison with what they've done the last 10 years with X Japan) and to release a soundtrack album along with the movie is a good call I guess? But it still feels rushed and palliative. I mean it's a good thing that an album is announced and released within 2 months but it could be just another excuse to not release the "new" album: release the movie + soundtrack, let the new fanbase discovers X Japan and all, and some time later when this new fanbase is established release the "new" album for everyone.
