As posted on their official Website, they are nominated for the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards in the category Best International Band.

While I think it's cool they are nominated I really ask myself how did this happen as they haven't released anything yet and only played a little tour. Maybe Yoshiki knowing a lot of people did help them a little bit.  ;)

The other bands in the category are Behemoth, Lacuna Coil, Meshuggah, Rammstein and Sepultura.

Eh at this point I kind of hope they lose, they (as in yoshiki only) havn't done anything to deserve it, wether they are the best talentwise or not. Infact I wish there was an award for 'laziest band' or 'best band at sitting on there asses doing f all and contributing nothing' and they won that so maybe it could teach yoshiki something.

I entirely agree.

Yoshiki is confusing the hell out of everyone lately...I don't get it. What is up with his latest tweet, "YES!". LIKE WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN? He really does not know how to communicate well with his fans.

Although I don't really understand what they are nominated for, I'm still glad they are ^^ Maybe it'll work as some 'push' for the band [for Yoshiki]? I hope so. *optimistic mode on*

Oh, I've just seen Yoshiki's tweets about vacation. Well, maybe we won't see any new material for some more, much more time, but it seems that he really needs some break. Just to organize his thoughts....

I just hope that while on vacation and organizing his thoughts, he realize that he owes their fans a lot more than what they are giving us... after all, the fans have been supporting them 101%...

X JAPAN Wins Golden Gods Award

On Wednesday night, X JAPAN has won the award for Best International Band at the Golden Gods Awards, after becoming the first Asian band to ever be nominated for a Golden Gods Award.

"Thank you Revolver. Thank you so much for recognizing us," said YOSHIKI, who was present at the ceremony to accept the award. He mentioned their achievements in the United States so far, and revealed the band is planning another World tour soon.

The band beat out internationally acclaimed Rammstein (Germany), Lacuna Coil (Italy), Sepultura (Brazil), Behemoth (Poland) and Meshuggah (Sweden). Other artists that won an award were Avenged Sevenfold, Slash, Korn and Evanescence. The Black Carpet and Show was broadcasted on X Box Live and will be aired again this year on VH1.

So, they've won..?! It's sooo cool, I'm really glad =^.^= I wonder how prestigious this award is in the US.

Somehow Yoshiki seemed to me not to belong there. Like.. I dont know how to express it. He's just looked so nice and intelligent, while all those ppl were like.. different. :D Kinda rude\wild. Well, maybe it's just me, but Yoshiki seemed to be "in the wrong box" :|

ho boy.. well.... now we know for sure these awards are attributed based on.. hmm... financial implications ?

Don't get me wrong, X-Japan has been and will remain my favourite band of all time (that X tattoo should be enough to prove it..) but really ?? No album release, a rather low scale American tour and... that's about it.

Versus Rammstein who have been extremely prolific, even the rather bland Lacuna Coils who've produced much more and Sepultura ... wow.
