Toshi- Are you still there

I downloaded a song some time ago from a blog. It was named Toshi(from X Japan)-Are you still there (to hide). As long as I understood, it was like a memorial song to hide. It's a slow ballad and im 90% sure it is Toshi. I have searched the net abit but I havent found much info on Toshi's solo discography and I wonder where and when was it recorded and if it is on any CD. Any ideas?

I'll try to upload it somewhere in the nearest future also.

I haven't heard about the song you are talking about, but in regards to Toshi's solo career, I know he has released atleast one album "Sacrifice". I read somewhere that he has released quite a few solo albums.

And it would be great if you could post the song you are talking about.

Well I did some more research and I found out that the song is probably Kimi Wa Inai Ka. I don't know much about Japanese so I can't say what's the english translation and if it is a memorial song tho hide.

Hi there. Yes, "Kimi wa inai ka?" means something like "Are you there?" I love that song very much, I think it's a beautiful piece.

I'm not much into Toshi, btw, I'm just way too obsessed with the whole X to not know about Toshi as well. He was part of it in the end.

It's actually an officially released 'single.' It's released in Japanese in 1998 togehter with the song 'Mori to Kaze no Tabibito' which in my opinion is just as good (if not better) than the title song. (Of course not so much with the emotional value.)

It's pretty much in the beginning of his Iyashi-kei style of singing that it's released, and the lyrics are by MASAYA. It also appears on Toshi's 2004 double disc album as well as on "Toward the Way." And LIVE! where he sings the song in english. It's followed by one of his routines of telling small stories. Mostly in elderly homes, hospitals and other venues alike.

Thnkx for the song. I like some Toshi's song its nice and soothing. Its too bad though. Has anyone seen his latest pictures?? ITs so sad to look at it. Like he was never part of the X or somthin...

The man's almost 40 years old and from the looks of it performing for seniors and children at a seniors center. He'd look kinda silly with 12 inch hair and decked out in leather.

Though I admit it, the thought of seeing a picture of him dressed in leather with 12 inch hair performing at a seniors center warms my heart.
