Not a very clear image, but that's the cake in the box.

Someone on the xradicaldreamers forums said "we had to leave early", I hope he/she is only refering to him/herself and personal friends/family, and not that the entire concert had to end early for some reason.

They did not play forever love live. Will update later but same setlist, yoshiki broke down crying, the line was awesome, and I am never going back to the fucking roseland as long as I live. I am fucking pissed off.

Hey all, I'm only gonna post briefly, but I had a great time! I was actually really close to the front, but when people started BUM RUSHING the stage (like, to a SCARY DEGREE) and the crowd was waving and swerving around to the point that my best friend and I couldn't stand up without stepping on someone else's knee cap (no exaggeration), we decided to move back quite a bit. But once we got there, it was an AMAZING time. Eating pizza Yoshiki bought us in line outside, singing happy birthday to Toshi, and just experiencing X with my own eyes...something I'll never forget.

Thanks to all the people in line who made the wait so fun!! I took 200 pictures but a lot of them came out blurry. I'll be posting them on facebook, so feel free to friend me if you'd like to see them.

(and FYI, Forever Love wasn't live...)

Just got home. Awesome concert! The line wrapped around the block twice (and we are talking about New York city block, which is long.) The place was sold out. I went late and started out standing around middle of the floor (and very hard to see the stage because I am not that tall :) but moved up to the balcony ~ 4 songs in. Both floor and balcony were packed. Yoshiki stage dived into the crowd once and needed 5 security guards to pull him out. (He did not do it again). Lots of people were taking pictures and videos but my camera did not work well in the dark so I did not take much. Hope someone will post some videos soon. At the end of the concert, Yoshiki, Toshi and Sugizo brought their cameras out and were taking pictures of each other with the audience as the background, very cute!

im sry for how ppl acted there it was completely unnecessary (Saw a guy just got punched and dropped while crowd surfing 0_0). I saw at least 3 ppl were badly hurt that they couldn't continue to watch X and it was terrible to watch. But on a happy note, Sugizo played the "Star Spangled Banner" on Violin and Toshi had a giant cake

I.V, I love the way Toshi ended that falsetto/scream after the second chorus.

And part of Silent Jealousy, english version suprisingly, is it me or are they not the same english lyrics that were sung at the wiltern?

I just got back from the concert. It was supposed to start at 7pm, so my friend and I went there at 5:30pm. At that time the line already wrapped around the block once, and by 7 it wrapped around the block twice. There were quite a few questions from bystanders about what we were waiting for. They also mentioned that they’ve never seen a line this long. Yoshiki bought us like 50 pizzas. When the dudes with cameras went through the line, we gave them our best X poses. Also, got some flyers to hold up for Toshi’s birthday from a dude wearing an 80s era X cross-dressing outfit.

The beginning of the concert was pretty civilized. The hall was filled to capacity, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a sold out show. It took a while to start though, I’d say about an hour delay. To pass the time, a big dude was lifted in the air and shouted “We are”, to which the audience replied X. Hilarious. Vampires Everywhere started the set. Not a fan, but they’re not bad live, and knowing how tough it is to make it in music I gave them a few cheers. When X started, it was pure chaos. I was in the front/middle of the pit, and morons started pushing from the back and sides. Incredibly hot, sweat was pouring off me, and the pushing didn’t make it any better. Totally ruined Jade/Rusty Nail for me. Felt especially bad for some of the shorter members in the audience, who had a hard enough time seeing (if it all). I saw quite a few people rush out of the pit during the first ten minutes because they couldn’t handle the pushing. Luckily, it calmed down after that. I’d say the performances were just about flawless. I’ve watched a bunch of the X US tour performances on youtube, and vocally this easily matched the best of them. Also, loved the fact that they played the radio edit of Art of Life. This may sound blasphemous, but I've always preferred that to the 30 min version. All in all a great experience. Security at Roseland are a-holes though, so if they play again I hope it’s at a better venue.

Edit: I'm not 100% sure, but it seemed there weren't any playbacks. Gotta check out youtube to be sure, but if I remember correctly (and it was hard to focus during mosh time), Sugizo's fingers were moving during Rusty Nail and Art of Life's solos. Also, to me it sounded like they nailed the Jade and X solos, and I know they usually mess up the X solo a bit.

As someone in the comments said, he's baffled someone throwed a yoshikitty at him XD, well done to everyone there. That's a massive cake.

Part of Born to be Free, wasn't expecting Toshi to do that at the end.

I was one of the smaller guys who decided to leave the pit during Rusty Nail. I didn't think it was going to get as bad as it did, it really scared me! Once I moved back to a calmer spot though, I had an amazing time and forgot all about it! I did see a few people looking pretty banged up though, making their way even further back than I did with my friend. A shame this had to happen.

And sorry, I didn't take any videos, but I posted over 100 pictures if anyone is interested. Friend me on Facebook and you'll be able to see the album! Here's my profile:

And then here is the album:

http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=2054374&id=43100472

Many of them came out blurry because the crowd was moving so much and it was hard to keep my arms still, but I did manage to get a few really good ones!

I think you must give the link from your 'info' page, then it will work!
I know that because first I made that mistake too when I wanted post somebody's link from facebook.

You can't click the link.  Copy and paste the entire thing.

Btw, I'm in one of your pictures of the line.  Totally tagging myself.

Garroad_ran is correct, Ann1958! I'm not sure why the hyperlink cuts off at the "!" part of the URL, but you need to highlight the whole link, and paste it into your browser to get to my profile. Not sure why that's the case, but it does work. =)

And ah, funny we were so close, garroad_ran! I just sent you a friend request for the heck of it.

EDIT:

Ann, here's my "info" page. Maybe this will help!

Basically what everyone else said. LOL.

The pushing was awful and my friends had gone during the first song, so I left during Drain to find friends, and get to the balcony after getting some merch and water. :B And then I cried through the rest of the show because (I'mma crybabyyyyyy lol) it was the most amazing thing to see Toshi so close-- about 4th/5th row! I think I ended up beating people up unintentionally when I was just going along with all the crowdwaves, so if I did to anyone here, sorry. xAx;; I came out of there unscathed though, shockingly enough.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. /shot

Silent Jealousy, English version, up to almost the end of the solo.

Shame to hear about the major pushing, hope everyone still enjoyed the concert.

Waited in line for 21 hours, my mistake was driniking 4 red bulls and no water 2 hours before the show. I exerted as much energy as humanly possibe singing as loud as I could and by the first intermission I almost passed out so I had to go from the 2nd row to the beck to get water. That was the most surreal / aesome 24 hours of my life. (Sorry for misspellings, writing from my blackberry in the train station) hello to the girl who made the sign and had no voice, I was the guy about 10 people in front of you. The sign was great! Were you able to get it to the band?
