Yeah, an obvious LJ roleplay.
Me, I don't really think roleplayers/fanficcers are bad (at least when they keep it obvious/put in a ton of disclaimers so everyone knows they're fake and a parody.) I don't think it's creepy unless they're actually posing as the person with true intent to decieve people or something.
Humor, smut, well, I don't think fanfics or roleplays that are properly disclaimed and NOT intending to insult the people involved directly are any more or less disturbing than the TOSHIKI duo on Japanese TV (who are fuckin' hilarious.....and I say this as a diehard hide/Yo shipper when I choose to read fics), Tina Fey as Sarah Palin (also incredibly fuckin' hilarious) or fake celebrity sex tapes with a porn star that looks like some popular celebrity (not my thing but whatever floats your boat....).
The OMGSICK!!!! reaction people here have to rp and fic makes me laugh somewhat, seeing as much of it is parody and the worst most of it is is consensual fantasy between writer and reader(s).
Now if someone published, say, a highly detailed rape story featuring Yo's home address, how to get around his alarm system, what bedroom he slept in, etc, etc, THAT would freak me the fuck out..... in fact, I've rather angrily jumped on a fellow fanficcer who got a little *too* detailed about the neighborhood near his workplace in LA, even though her intent wasn't to be as disturbing as it was.
Otherwise.... yeah, it's just fiction.... ignore it if it's not your cup of tea....and if someone thinks it's reality, well, there's plenty of peeps to debunk that.
