The second pianist...

Okay when Yoshiki's piano solo in art of life starts there's another person. Cosplaying as Yoshiki/IS Yoshiki that plays the beginning interlude until Yoshiki appears, this person or the second Yoshiki then fades into the stage...

Who the hell is this person? Is it a Cosplayer? A pre-recorded scene? WTF is goin on? Why has nobody asked this question?!

I always thought it was the pianist they normally have at the side of the stage (that guy does exist, right??) because after Yoshiki appears it looks like the 2nd pianist is on a platform that sinks backstage...

Anyone understand me??

all I know is that a woman called satoko tada played the piano during the song and maybe others, but i don't know if it was at the solo or during the other parts of the song

I wonder if it is an old school camera trick....if you can remember the Parent Trap with Lindsy Lohan, she played both characters in the same scene. I would think it would be something like that....since it's a video and all. Of course I could be wrong....but it's just food for thought.

Good idea, but I don't think it is that.....I'm sure the second pianist was on stage and not on a screen right? Also, from what I can remember, the person didn't exactly look like Yoshiki from what you could see...

OK....this is getting tricky....I just re watched some of the DVD and found this part where it seems the 2nd pianist and piano fades away...into thin air when Yoshiki comes on stage and it doesn't seem to be an overlapped image on screen either.....have a look at this video, starting at 1:10 until Yoshiki comes on....

I watched it just a few hours ago and yes there ist second pianist-(s)he disapears right when Yoshiki arives ((s)he is like on a lift that "sink" him/her belove the stage)

Hey you are right! Ha the mystery has been solved. I actually thought they dissipeared into thin air but you can see that after the spotlight goes off, they are still sinking. Thanks!

It looks quite freaky. The piano and the player just seems to vanish. But yeah, when you look at it closely, they seem to have some kind of a sinking platform.
