Fernandes has just released a new Heath model bass, called the FJB-115H. The price is 115,000yen (120,750yen with taxes) and the first 50 models bought will come with an authentic Heath signature.

That's about $1700AU, reasonable price for a signature/custom model.

If it's anything to go by from the live recordings I've heard, he has a nice bass tone so it could be worth the money.

I aint paying €940,- for a bolt-on neck and Seymour Duncan pick-ups.
the only reason this bass is so expensive, is because of Heaths name.

well, nothing DUH about it, I played Tom Araya's (Slayer) signature bass, it plays AMAZING plus it has great specs (neck-thru, stuff like that) and same goes for the Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) bass, Doris Yeh (ChthoniC) bass and so on.

Well, it's always the deal with branded stuff (clothes, glasses, etc), if it has a brand name on it (or in this case, a musician's name) it costs a lot more than it would without it.

On principle I wouldn't buy anything simply because of celebrity endorsement, not even Sexy Bones sorry, HEATH (see, I learn quick!), but damn...his merchandise looks good! I'm not a bass player therefore cannot comment on the bass model, but I highly doubt Sexy Bones HEATH would put his name to something of a low or knock-off quality. If I did play bass, I would certainly check out this model.

Please stop calling him names he doesn't know of, it's annoying the shit out of me.

woah...what's with the hostility all of a sudden? And what gives you the right to tell me what I can and cannot call him? If you'd prefer that I not call him The Nickname That So Annoys You, why can't you just ask nicely?
