Orgasm or Standing Sex.

Why? Totally stink of the whole "look at us, we are shocking and violent and breaking every taboo possible ".
I think you miss the point of X.

I personally think "Without You" is horrid.

Endless Rain is just horrible and boring, as almost all of their ballads...

I guess, maybe ... the worst song of X is ...

OMG, I can't even say one song... the matter is,for example :

I didn't like the live version of White Poem I, but the remix version (M.T.A. Mix) is awesome ...!

(Long time ago) I didn't like PHANTOM OF GUILT, but after listening yo the Live version ... it was too COOL !!!

yeah, I've some stuff like that in my mind :p so ... I think I dislike the album version of 'BLUE BLOOD', but I LOVED the Live version so much ! xD

none of your business ...

i think it's because the ballads often sound alike, and are VERY dramatic. XD I like the ballads tough. Most of them.

I agree with 'Without You' being their worst song ever. (yeah, I know, come on fangirls and hit me hard.) What  bothers me the most is actually the way Yoshiki announced it as something oh-so utterly beautiful and then it was no more than a rather tasteless ballad clearly created to make fans cry and to keep up their levels of trashy sentimentalism. I mean, I like X for the fact that they're emotive and I can say that songs like "Forever Love" are actually masterpieces (even being cliche and angsty). Now, with Without You, it seems they have evolved from rational and artistic sentimentalism to teeny emo cry-over-this-please stereotypical music. In other words, too much of a Yoshiki that should have grown up and didn't.

I'm not fond of IV neither. The lyrics are too cliche and the beat is too commercial. I think they were so concerned with getting their name on everyone's lips, they ended up forgetting about what's actually good music. Catchy stuff in detriment of art just doesn't work.

Woah, I can haz admin colour.

In terms of melodic music, I.V. is up there with some of the best stuff Yoshiki has ever written. If you want to look at X trying to get themselves in the mainstream go look at their ballad music and songs like Rusty Nail - now there is outright pop music, I.V. in that sense clearly is not.

Wasn't Without You written just after hide's death ? At that time X was already disbanded, I don't think he thought of making fan cry and being all sentimentalistic (is that even a word ?) then. =/

I agree about I.V. which could have been better, but at the same time he had only one week to write it, so for the time he had and knowing his perfectionism, I'd say it was quite good. ^^ Now we just need to wait how the other new song comes out. They say "harder", maybe something along the line of DAHLIA or even Vanishing Love ? That would be something. o_O

Weird, those 2 songs in one sentence >___>
I know they're not going back to Vanishing Love, EVER. They've evolved too much for that.
So I have NO idea what they mean by "harder" songs o_O

I totally disagree with that, I admit its hardly the "best" of their songs but how on earth do you have the authority to say something like that, do you know yoshiki personally? Did he sit and tell you in depth about how he wrote "Without You"?

I respect the fact that you don't like it fair enough but I don't see why its nessesary to say that about a song that Yoshiki wrote after hide died.

We speak about this whole "X going mainstream" thing with songs like Rusty Nail, which is a very good song and I liked how they moved along in their music style with other songs on Dahlia.

I'm not sure what I would class as their worse probably one of the older songs perhaps even before the time of Pata and hide etc.

I'm not sure, I just prefer the songs that game about during the hide/pata/heath period into the time with heath, I adore the oldies like Kurenai, X, Sadistic Desire etc that were played before the new members but I just prefer the music off the albums after and on Vanishing Vision.  I do like stop bloody rain but other than that I think their later music was far more polished though some songs do sound cool with the gritty indie sound.

The X songs that I am more likely to skip than others are... Easy Fight Rambling, Alive, and Forever Love.

The "why" varies.... there's just something about the sound of Easy Fight Rambling that gets on my nerves. :P Maybe it feels too generic. Alive I can enjoy if I am in the mood for it, but if I'm not it's nearly intolerable.

And I'm not sure when I started skipping Forever Love, since when I got into X it was my favorite song. But I think I agree with what others said about cheesiness. Not, of course, that it isn't a good song; I still love it dearly when the time is right - but like Alive, I have to be in the mood for it.

At this moment the winner for me is I.V. I can hear X in it, but to me it seems mainstreamed - maybe because I equate it with Saw IV? Not sure. I think it scrapes an "okay". So far I like Without You a lot more, cheese or no cheese! It sounds like X. :D

And I'll risk being the weirdo here by saying that at first I hated Trance X... but it has in fact GROWN ON ME! DDD: There's a few songs on there I actually like! *runs and hides*

Lady, lady are you ready to go?

and I'm also going to say Love Replica, not because I don't like the sound, but because of the annoying woman talking French... she really gets on my nerves D8

Desperate Angel
-nice sounds, but really crappy lyrics.

Love Replica
-a new twist, something like XCLamation, but it just fails to bring out the excitement.

and of course the epic Trance X ^o^

ehm I like all song but I think I kill you and stab me in the back are the ones I like less

Stab me in the back rocks your ass out! :D (just joking)

For me the worst songs are this songs:

- Easy flight rambling.
The song is boring, there is not point in it, and it's so lame! A massive lack of "I WANNA SPIT ON YOUR FACE!"

- Phantom of guilt.
I can't remember anything else of that songs if not included the fact I don't never listen to it because it's so boring. : D

- XClamation, White Poem I, Love Replica, Wriggle, Dear loser, Give me the pleasure,
I just don't get them. Really.

- Alive.
An song which makes me feel like it never ends. It's like... torture to me. : D I really hate that song.

And I'll risk being the weirdo here by saying that at first I hated Trance X... but it has in fact GROWN ON ME! DDD: There's a few songs on there I actually like! *runs and hides*

I'll have to agree with you, though I haven't listened much Trance X, but since Kurenai remix was as my ringing tone, I kinda fell in love with it. XD And I've been wondering if I should make a koreography

But I'm surprised why Stab me in the back was mentioned here so often : D It's one of my favourite songs. I knew before I opened this thread that here will be mentions of Desperate angel, though it's for me a great song, I like verses especially o/

[lots of text]

ARR! Easy Fight Rambling/Phantom of Guilt/The instrumental songs/Alive (and especially Alive, as it's one of my favourite songs!) rock! =(
I know the instumentals can be hard to like if you don't play an instrument yourself, so I understand you in that, though.

I don't see "Without You" that way at all. Its length alone at 16 mins. tells, to me, it's not about commercialism. Plus, you have to remember those tears falling down in the studio ver. ;) I think its development is thematically pleasant.

Me, I would definitely go for "Drain" as their worst ever song (it's utterly uncreative and I usually hate the industrial sound in music in any case). "Wriggle" also. I kind of see some intention at being urban there but the ambience just isn't there in comparison to many "serious" "urban ambient" musicians such as Craig Armstrong. Also some un-original stuff is a no-no (Desperate Angel, Joker reminds me a little of Hanoi Rocks, as does Taiji's look in the 1980s --> compare with Michael Moore).

I think people may miss the point of the "happier" songs (Joker, Easy Fight...). In tragedy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy), people can be happy and profoundly sad at the same time. Hide arguably was the epitome of this lifestyle.

BTW: unless I'm mistaken, the "Rose of Pain" intro after J. S. Bach borrows from one of the symphonies by Dmitri Shostakovich. I think it was Shostakovich but the trouble is, I could not locate the section later even though I own all of his symphonies and found it something like  years ago. This kind of creativity I would like to see more, I think it peaked in "Art of Life".

In other words, too much of a Yoshiki that should have grown up and didn't.

Growing up is sometimes dangerous, but I see your point.

I'm not fond of IV neither. The lyrics are too cliche and the beat is too commercial. I think they were so concerned with getting their name on everyone's lips, they ended up forgetting about what's actually good music. Catchy stuff in detriment of art just doesn't work.

This is true IMO also: the direction of blandness and calculated "emo-ism" worries me also but I don't see "Without You" like that; on the contrary, it seems to me Yoshiki put a lot of effort into that piece. The danger is, you succeed financially by choosing the emo route. This primacy on success is exactly the contrary to X's early philosophy when they wanted NOT to please (financially, etc.) but shock and tremble and therefore got thrown out and banned time and again. It's unfortunate if they forgot how much success _difference_ actually brought to them.

Only what is in motion can rest."
-Martin Heidegger

I see, here are many songs on the lists I like..... Drain, for example...
but about me.... I don't hate a Song, there are just some, I don't like to listen to very often...
Sometimes Crucify My Love really annoys me.... but, songs I really don't like are Without you(Just... a bit too boring for me... I don't know... But I just listened to the Instrumental Piano Version.), XClamation and White Poem(Well, I just listened to it once, but I don't like it...)
