I wonder what venue they will choose, as Tokyo Dome is booked by the pop band NEWS for December 31st.

Maybe... Yokohama Arena (30 thousand), Aijinomoto (50 thousand) or... the Budokan? (10 thousand)

Hmmm... I wonder.

So cool, new years with 'X', i was so hoping they would do this, and keep the old tradition going. Now to try and get tickets. (going to bring a aussie flag and wear as a cape, so people know im an aussie, and i will get to see how many other aussie's there are).

Asakasa Blitz... VERY disappointing news. Lots of X Japan fans will be upset because only a small number will be able to attend.

I'm very curious about this concert...given the small size of the venue the concert has to be something unusual.

Damn right. I'd go as far as saying that playing a venue this size is demeaning to X Japan - not to mention cruel to their thousands of fans, less than 2000 of which will get to see the concert.

I can only think Yoshiki was being sentimental booking such a tiny live house - trying to recreate the atmosphere of X's earlier shows and tours. This is beyond strange and I have no idea how/if this is going to work.

I'm guessing you're not, from what I've heard (from a reliable source) their Christmas eve live is going to be at a very large venue - so you can still hold out hope for a ticket to that show.

I don't know how it will work with the newer X Japan songs, such as Rusty Nail and the majority of the ballads. I am willing to keep an open mind, if anyone can do something as audacious as this, it is X Japan. Maybe those few fans who go will get a real treat and see the band playing some of its old school live house songs... then again, if they are going to go THAT far, the Yoshiki spikes would also need to return. :p

Meh, Yoshiki is a wizard - not to mention an old school hair guru. If anyone can make spikes out of shortish hair (given the context), then Yoshiki can.

And hey, Toshi has been surprising me with his whole "I wanna sing loud music while I still can!", so it's extremely possible that his next move could be "I want to have crazy hair while I still can before my hair loss gets bad!"

Damn, such a small place, really is gonna make getting tickets for a Aussie hard (but still gonna try hahahaha), hopefully their Christmas Live is really at a bigger place.

And I had dreamed of X touring Europe in smaller venues (1000-2000 people) but lots of concerts... :P

I know it may sound cruel to those who might not get the tickets for the concert, but I have to say I really admire Yoshiki and X Japan for the choice they made, it means they remember where they came from and are true to their roots, which is something VERY rare for a band as popular as them.
I honestly wasn't expecting something like this from them at this point in their carrer, but I'm really happy they managed to surprise me once again.
Hope we'll get to see it in a way or another, I'm sure it's going to be a blast! 8)

I wish I could be there...
Money is such a problem.

Anyway, I'm glad to see them back in livehouse.

I wish they would do a Budokan now.
