So I'm trying to learn Mandarin atm but then Thai seemed a good idea (because of my sleep deprivation, I guess), it actually sounds easier to pronounce than Mandarin but then I heard the Thai alphabet...lord. Has anyone here tried to pick up Thai/does anyone speak Thai?

I went to Thailand a few years ago and I randomly bought a book there to learn Thai 'cause it seemed like fun.
But I don't understand the book AT ALL. I think it might be a book that's meant for a lecture or something. Either that or Thai is the most confusing language in the world.

Nah, Dutch is just like German, only without the grammatical cases (mir, mich etc.) and with weirder verbs. A lot of people think the pronounciation is weird though, haha.

XDD That's not Belgian, that's Antwerp or something! We would NEVER say that in Ghent =D. Unfortunately, I don't speak any kind of dialect so I also don't have a clue what we would say =p.

Yeah. And there are such differents pronounciations . I spoke dutch from a town not far from Brussels. But when i go to the northsea or to Leuven, it's really difficult to me to understand it!
