I loved the musics from Mega Man X -games as a kid, they were rock/metal with that japanese touch. About a year ago my friend sent me Kurenai by X and I thought it was okay, didn't really like the japanese lyrics, but loved the music as it was sort of like the Mega Man -music. Then I decided to download a random song by this band and downloaded Rusty Nail, and loved it. A few weeks later my friend burned the Last Live for me and I fell in love.

I don't really listen to any other japanese band besides X, but now I've really started to get into Seikima-II.

Mod color o' mine

Rurouni Kenshin soundtrack... Crucify My love was also named as one (tho I haven't heard it in the anime or mentioned in any RK webpages) and I started to like it. Then downloaded Kurenai and a few others and BAM! ;) :P

My first one was Dir en grey (not a big surprise, many people here in Finland start listening to jrock with Deg), and about week after hearing the first Deg song, I found in Youtube a video from hide's funeral. The one with Forever love, and well.. that was it. The piano went inside of me (this sounds really weird, I suppose) and I was in love. Art of life.. well, it was holy experience.

So I started with Dir en grey, then became X & X related stuff and the GazettE and some more. But X is the one I love the most, actually I'd say it's my second life. :P

Mine was.... either of anime called, Candy Candy I think, or of anime called Tico of the Seven Seas.

From the music as itself influences, non-anime related... well, I'm trying to think hard on that one, it's really difficult to track back musical influences because once music reaches people, it becomes part of them that seemingly existed there from eternity, at least with me so- I think it might have been either Gackt or Angela.

Uhm, I forgot what song it was actually but shortly after I came to Japan in 1988 we were having drinks at a Japanese friends place and there was that absolutely nut case group he liked on TV . . . bunch of really weird guys with weird hair and, well, overall WEIRD.

Think they were called X

Found them strangely attractive and loved them over since. :P

I think that X Japan was the first japanese band I ever heard of. I downloaded three songs (Dahlia, Rusty Nail and X) from some forum when I was about 14 years old and well... I mostly listened to power metal at that time so I liked X also. But for some reason I soon forgot the existance of X completely. Maybe because I was "blood fan of Stratovarius" at that time, so I didn't have the time to listen X that much... ^^'

Then I got in touch with the band Loudness and listened to a few of their songs. A friend of mine was a Loudness fan but I didn't like it that much.

Last year was full of japanese music for me. My friends were jrockers and listened bands like Dir en grey, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Miyavi, Moi dix Mois, etc. I spent a lot of time with them so I was "forced" to listen jrock. Well, I didn't like either of those bands they listened back then but last summer I found X Japan again and became a fan. ^^

After X I started to listen to the GazettE, Dir en grey (which I used to hate :D), D'espairsRay, Luna Sea and Seikima-II. Those are the bands I like the most besides X. There are some songs made by Gackt, Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois I like but can't say I'd their fan or anything.

That's all. ^^

'm at my wits end

First ever was probably something from an anime, not sure which though.  First I ever listened to just as music by itself was probably L'arc-En-Ciel.  First that made me wanna listen to nothing but JRock for the rest of my life was Miyavi.

Also...
