Edit: No, I'm not being an elitist. That said, the lyrics and stage performances and publicly known lives of the band are NOT appropriate for children (seriously, in the US, displaying the VV cover itself where someone under 18 could see it is probably technically illegal, for example) and I see no reason why we should have to make the discussion and fandom of something inappropriate at least for preteens somehow child-safe.

You're right with that one, the parents don't really know what their children are looking at. When I joined the internet, it opened up a whole new world to me. Still I think it would be inappropriate to have a sexual image as a avatar, immature aswell?

Inappropriate for who and what? A fandom that centers around the idea of "love violence sexy scandal" and "crime of visual shock?" For a user who has chosen that avatar as a way to express himself and his ideals/emotions?

And lol, don't even get into immaturity. The second we become all SRS BZNS MUST LOOK PROPER is the second we've sold out en masse and just need to go away already
