I don't really like Metallica, and this song wasn't that good either, so I'll give it a 6/10 (sorry!).

I can't rate that, sorry bro. If there's one thing I hate it's Marcus Miller, haha!  ;D

Crimson Glory - Lonely

Now this is some killer heavy f'n metal! Back when power metal still had power and wasn't as happy as modern crap like Stratovarius, newer Helloween, Freedom Call and so on and so on. US bands were definitely the best at doing this genre, with legends like (early) Queensryche, Jag Panzer, Crimson Glory, Lethal, (early) Fates Warning and plenty of other (more obscure) bands. Crimson Glory were one of the better bands, releasing two brilliant LPs in the 80s. How can you NOT like those soaring vocals, heavy rhythm section and killer riffs? Beats the shit out of any 80s glam/hair metal band if you ask me.

The music is okay, not bad at all, but what is the deal with the masks? I know the 80s had a lot of crazy stuff which looks strange nowadys, but I really can't imagine that this look was cool back then lol
But as I said the song is not bad.

They wanted to some sort of mystic quality to the band, so they came up with the masks. I always thought it was pretty cool and unique.
And that Helloween track's definitely getting an 11/10. Awesome track. Their first EP and LP are up there with my favoriete albums.

6, Im not really into Luca Turilli, though I have seen him live once.

Anyone ever heard 'Space Metal'?
I love it, here's a dutch band called Star One (you may know the guitarist from Ayreon)

3/10. I used to love that album when it came out some six years ago, but now I can't stand it. Which is weird though, cos I still listen to most of the stuff that I listened to back then, haha!

Pagan Altar - Cry Of The Banshee

My favorite all time band, featuring one of the most unique vocalists ever and one of the best guitarists ever.

Not bad at all, but I think it may take some more listenings for me to like the song more, but right now it's still a good tune and easily a 7/10.

Judas Priest - Dreamer Deceiver

But you can't top this. Before they had the whole leather and chains image they looked like hippies, hahaha. What a brilliant vocalist.

1/10. Sorry buddy, but I just can't stand Alter Bridge.  ;D

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite power metal bands (and that means real 80s power metal, and not the happy queer stuff by "bands" like Hammerfall and Dragonforce).

The intro sounded just like a song I've been making. Oh well, great minds think alike.. XD
That was cool, so 8/10!

No, I'm not into black metal. This song is just so damn funny. :D
Seriously, listen to the lyrics from 2:30 onwards.

7/10. I don't really like Sigh, or most black metal for that matter, but I think Scorn Defeat's a pretty good record. That song's okay too.

And now for something different... a great song from melodic hardrockers Praying Mantis, a band that's basically only popular in Japan. Although their 80s stuff is better, this song is no sloucher either, with cool harmonies, a great singer and nice pop sounding melodies.

The first time I came into contact with this song was when I heard a Coverversion (with altered lyrics) by the german band J.B.O. And what can I say, both versions rock in their own way *g*

Here another cover, which is very different compared to the original song, but has its own feel and vibe which I really like:
