TAIJI with HEAVEN'S

That Taiji & Shu interview reminded me that I still don't know what "TAIJI with HEAVEN'S" is (or was), other than that it was some band Taiji performed with recently. Anyone know anything about it, who was in it, what songs they performed, etc.?

Here's a youtube video taken from an issue of Rockin'f... it has some very brief shots of them rehearsing. But mostly it's just Taiji posing for photos, which isn't my idea of excitement, given that his "posing" consists of making subtly different facial expressions.

Uh, I'm not sure, if I'm right on that, but as far as I know Taiji with Heaven's was something together with Gentaro from Stormrider and a certain Dai (not DEG-Die).

I only know about those two.

And I know that at least Gen is pretty busy with Stormrider right now since a couple of months (or even since a year, dunno).

:shock: Damn! I'm not sure, if Gentaro also was in Heaven's! Damndamndamn!

Just now I remembered, that Taiji was talking in his blog about starting a project with Gentaro and since they didn't find a cool name, they just planned to call it Taiji&Gen.
Uhm... I think, I must have mixed that up. So don't quote me about Gen in Heaven's. :?

Heheh, yeah, don't worry Camicat.

That's funny that they were going to just call it Taiji&Gen due to not being able to think of a cool name.

I watched not quite half of that Gen video (because my connection sucks like that), and... there are some parts that I really liked, especially the part at about 1:40, but overall it's too deedle deedle deedle deedle deedle for my tastes. Camicat: oh no I'm using sound words! But for sure he's GREAT at what he does.

I wonder if he was/is going to play that style in Taiji&Gen? Would be interesting anyway, since the guitarists in Taiji's bands are usually more blues-oriented than classical.

I want to see Taiji&Tak Matsumoto, personally.

I don't know a lot about TAIJI with HEAVEN'S, but if I remember correctly I saw somewhere a while ago that they performed some covers of X tunes like Desperate Angel and Voiceless Screaming...

I don't who are the members on this project, nor if it's still active or anything though... =/

Ah, yes... all the songs which aren't played by X Japan anymore = all songs which are written by Taiji. Man, I'd like to see that live! I love these songs!
