\m/ Japanese Black Metal \m/

Who else is a fan?

And for those who've never heard of them.

A: Yes, because the pile of bodies would break my fall.

Sigh is a pretty good band, but it's not the kind of band I can listen to all the time... I need to be in the right mood to listen to Sigh, if you know what I mean... When it comes to japanese Black Metal I'd rather listen to Sabbat than Sigh...

I only like Scorn Defeat. I'm not into all that arty avantgarde shit, give me Sabbat any time of the day, who are about my favorite band of all time.

That said, I don't think both Sabbat and Sigh can be classified as black metal. Sigh is more avantgarde stuff, while I'd say Sabbat lean heavily towards oldschool speed/thrash metal and NWOBHM bands.

the term avant-garde is thrown around too much, especially in metal, very few bands tagged that name fit it.  I would describe Sigh more as experimental black metal.  I can't say I've really ever thought of them as an "arty" band, they just sound crazy and different to me.
