Since all the news from Taiwan coming in and pics of the Taipei 101 I thought I'd show some pics I took of / from it early this year:


New Year's Eve:






Taiwan is a crowded island, this is how streets usually look in Taipei......at least when everyone wants to see the last ever new year's eve-fireworks from the building~:

Taiwan has to deal with a lot of natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes. This is an important thing called "damper" that protects the building. Instead of causing the building to swing heavily, the design supposedly allows this thing "dance around" and deal with some of the pressure. Asians are obviously too awesome sometimes, as you can see it has a blood type, horoscope, favourite weather, and goes by the name "Damper baby" etc. It's possible to see it on one of the highest floors.

awesome pictures of Taipei 101, When I went it was just an average day so it wasn't that awe-inspiring, It looks amazing at night.

 - There's a saber tiger head, that grey thing on the left. Yeah.
 - It has CHAINZ! They start at the saber tiger head and go to the right wheel.
 - The happy guy driving the thang is a skeleton with a hat : D
 - There's a SWORD. And FLAMES.
 - And really oldskool wheelz. Xzibit or whatever his name is (you know, from Pimp my Ride) would be jealous as hell.
