Yoshiki / yoshiki 's my space
« on: September 21, 2006, 01:50:34 PM »
This all is very interesting. I'm happy enough "those people" aren't "far far away" but instead "far far away AND able to answer"... Seeing that myspace made me feel something of a very good, like "Oh Goddess, so Yoshiki-san is available, right?" or something of the sorts... Not that I intend to write him closest time I read him anywhere, because I believe he already has lots of people doing it even without my assisting, but I am glad he has been running such services.

Ah, so sorry, I have overlooked the specification regarding your town, Veresk. It's obvious who hasn't been paying attention... Once more, apologies.

I bet Czech radios are just as weird. .]

Anyways, I am really sorry to hear what happens to your brother, but I firmly believe he would be strong and you all too and get healen... Also, I think if it were a cancer in the very first stadiums, there would be a help for that, people I've known with stadium of said illness like that usually had to undergo a chemotherapy [is that a word?] which wasn't exactly pleasant, but cancer gave up and went away...

Though, I am not sure what the therapy situation is like in [Russia you wrote, but not sure about the region ]. Still, good luck to you and your brother!

I would be inclined to think water is romanized as "mizu" actually...

TV / Movies / Anime / Batoru Rowaiaru
« on: September 20, 2006, 10:52:58 PM »
I'd almost have expected that kind of thread to pop up out of the sudden.. so glad you brought it up right on here.

I've actually had the same debate on many different BR related forums/messageboards before, so am kind of tired by the whole argument... Of course that Hollywood, at least the more of the commercial movie makers, suck. Of course there are problems arising from getting someone who could do justice to original works [actors, screenplay writers, director...]. But, I also think there could arise interesting piece of work... if not the leading example of how to do a good movie remake of older and far more popular original, then example how to NOT do a bad movie; simply via not following the method used for the filming of the movie presented.

All in all, it would be GOOD for SOMETHING.

When I'm thinking about it, some audiences have rejected Batoru Rowaiaru: Chinkonka too, saying it is immature, lacking a psychological depth of the first movie, with badly written screenplay, over emotional scenes that seem hysteric and not holding true to the characters, too anti-US, pro-terrorist, all that kind of uncanny points... and I personally think BR2 was a good movie, and if not good, then at least bearable... What my point is, there have been exclamations like "This is not REAL BR, don't take it seriously, guys" as a form of denial to express those feelings of being dissapointed in expectations and so on and on... and some people even don't think BR2 is happening in the very same world, let alone story, as batoru rowaiaru, the original... So why couldn't be there fans of original BR who would think about this "remake" as something that is of a diff universe, too?

After all, if you don't like it, you can just laugh at it. Recruiting new people into BR might be harder then, but at least fans that don't stop at the "bad American movie=bad Battle Royale" would be much more worth it, having came through all the pain of watching the bad movies and yet still being full of desire to know more about the phenomenon of BR. Like, making more devoted fans to original works if they actually managed to get that far and look for them...

That is about all what I have to say for now. Will come to this topic later, if time and desire permit me to answer.

hide / murder, suicide or an accident?
« on: September 20, 2006, 08:42:20 PM »
I like this topic. Chances to learn are important... Of course we should take most close look at lives of people and what they did, but sometimes talking about deaths is important too, especially if the way person died might change a look on the history [as with kings and royalty in general; political leaders in modern times.. the way of going away matters.]. Just generally observing.
