The Concerts / Re: London Concert 2017, anyone?
« on: March 07, 2017, 02:27:49 PM »
Haha, the worst part for me is the shoulders after all those X-arms!

But WOW, what a fantastic show! I was sort of afraid that they wouldn't be as good as I'd hyped them up to be in my head. I also had this fear that because they showed the movie, the concert would be shorter. But they absolutely delivered well above my expectations!

I was crying all the way through Rusty Nail and I didn't really regain my composure until much later (finally I know how Bieber fans feel). I am not a huge fan of the new songs, so when Kurenai started I was so fucking pumped to start rocking. I had no idea that Art of Life was a thing on their recent setlists so when I heard Yoshiki start playing it I couldn't believe my ears. The Bowie tributs felt really genuine and I loved the talk between the songs. It was awesome to finally understand what they had to say on stage, after viewing so many recordings from Japanese concerts!

I noticed there were A LOT of Japanese fans at Wembley, does anyone have any idea if they had traveled there from Japan or if there's a big Japanese community in the UK?

What's up party people, it seems like I'm going!
Just convinced my bf to join so we just booked the flight and hotel. If they cancel we can at least have a nice day in London :'D

When I first started listening to X Japan as a teenager I would legit just break down and cry randomly because I knew that I had missed my chance to ever see them. I can't believe it might actually be happening now!

Hey peoples! Long time no see! I usually check back here every 6 months or so and this time there's some activity! Woop woop!

Since last time, I started studying, had a brief depression, got a diploma in graphic design, moved to Stockholm, got a job at an advertising agency and started getting involved in the Swedish e-sports scene on the side. I've been a huge fan of the game Starcraft since the first version came out way back in the day, and the sequel Starcraft 2 has turned into a huge competitive sport among other PC games. I design and write articles for the website STHLM e-sport, and through my work with it I also met my boyfriend. He's amazing and he makes me a better person.

I still listen to X Japan and hide occasionally, but I've sort of lost my passion after all cancelled concerts, promises of going to Sweden that were never fulfilled, Yoshiki focusing on solo projects instead of the IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE etc. But I'm still looking out for a future X concert near me, and now I have enough income to actually travel there even if it's far away.

So, anyone got a translation of what was said during the appearance? Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata and Heath were there, with Sugizo briefly on the phone. Twitter says they announced a World Tour. Confirmation?

« on: January 09, 2010, 08:43:19 PM »
I wonder if it's something along the lines of...
maybe the interest hasn't been as big in the world tour as they had expected. honestly i don't trust that X fans could fill the madison square garden for example. so they make new releases of their most fitting songs to try to reach a wider audience and through that be sure that they can complete a world tour with profit.
or so. that's what i hope. SO THAT I CAN FINALLY SEE THIS BAND.

I wish I could go!
Although, 4 PVs in the same setting? Boring X_x
I'd love to see something á la Celebration/Week End/Xclamation again XD Music videos with a little more substance to them than just the band members headbanging on a rooftop with flashing lights all over.

Yoshiki / Re: RUMOR: Prepare for the news about Yoshiki getting married
« on: January 08, 2010, 08:47:49 AM »
Well, if this is true I am VERY relieved. I thought he was going to end up old and alone.

Regarding Miyavis surprise marriage, a lot of Japanese celebrities do that when they've accidentally knocked someone/gotten knocked up. I was pretty sure that was what happened to him. A bad (or good!) result of a one night stand, perhaps XD If this is what happened in Yoshikis case, though? No idea. WE NEED MORE JUICY INFO. And reliable sources!

Other Bands / Re: Muse's new Album
« on: August 10, 2009, 09:34:26 PM »
I've got tickets for the tour this time, I'm so pumped! I wanna get my hands on the album as soon as possible so I can listen in on all the songs before going.
I can believe the tickets sold out fast this time. Their popularity's been incredibly boosted with being on the Twilight soundtrack, so I guess I'll be seeing a lot of Twilight fangirls who've only heard Supermassive Black Hole.

Wow @ the Queen likeness in the new song though. Nothing wrong with it. I love Queen.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan in Paris - 10th October?
« on: August 02, 2009, 10:00:33 PM »
I'd like to enlighten Swedes on this forum that Ryanair have, today, lowered their prices for Skavsta - Paris. It'll last at least till Monday but probably a bit longer. :) Currently it's (depending on which flights you choose) 218 sek round trip (+ 199 sek Sthlm - Skavsta + 26€ Beauvais - Paris).

Seems like a bothersome detour to me... AirFrance has good flights, at cheapest you could go for 2000 sek Stockholm > Paris and back with them.

Gah, I need so much convincing before actually thinking of going this time. I don't want to be fooled one more time, that just pisses me off.

I love X Freaks for nerding Pokémon and doing fxxked up convos on Omegle. YOU'RE JUST LIKE ME!

18
Anyhow, i love the chorus. But the verses and everything else with only the base and guitar (Heath & Pata) feels so boring and empty.

Hopefully the studio version will fix this, Yoshiki usually is a master at arrangements.

19
God, my first reaction to this song is that it sucks. Actually.
But I guess that will change after a couple of listens. I'm in a bad mood right now and find faults in everything xD I'd love a studio version.

hide / Re: 05.02.09 Remembering how he lived
« on: May 02, 2009, 07:07:44 PM »
I'm being rather light-hearted about it cause I've done this "holiday" a couple of times.
I prefer remembering him as a happy person aiming to have a lot of fun, so that's what I'm doing too!
So I've made some LEMONed and Psyence cupcakes, and will be watching Alivest tonight.

I might record a cover or something later, I got inspired by your video! However, I think the only song I know is Good Bye as well.. XD I'll have to learn a new one or so!

Heath / Re: Heath quits?
« on: April 20, 2009, 09:23:42 PM »
IF, and I mean, IF, it came down to replacing Heath - there is only one name in Visual Kei at the moment who fits the bill. Jasmime You. Can you name a better bassist playing in Visual Kei at the moment? The guy is extremely talented.
I GET IMAGES IN MY HEAD xD He would SO not fit in with the other guys. I would laugh.

hide / Re: hide : a movie based on hide's life
« on: March 07, 2009, 12:51:53 PM »
If a hide movie was made, we'd have a new Sid and Nancy: All the band members would hate the director and the movie, the movie would be full of mistakes, the death scene would suck.

Bad idea.
Which is why band members need to die first!

hide / Re: hide : a movie based on hide's life
« on: March 07, 2009, 08:31:54 AM »
I think it'd be a nice thing like, in a couple of years or so. Like, when Yoshiki and the others are dead. Maybe not Pata. Pata should be there to say "hide would've been proud of this movie" or something like that to please the audience.

And I would so watch it. With a good director that movie could be win.
