Yoshiki / Evening with Yoshiki 2022 press conference?
« on: December 26, 2021, 02:48:16 PM »
Saw something on Yo’s Instagram… Does anyone know if it’s just more bullshit or if something interesting is happening?

Forever living in hope for that “album master” from a few years ago leaking.

Take care all!

Jimmy

General chat / If Yoshiki can't play drums...
« on: June 30, 2017, 03:51:47 AM »
Let's say worst case scenario and Yoshiki can't play drums anymore
..

Do you think they'd be the possibility of him running around (or limping around) with a guitar for the songs he doesn't play piano on, ala Extasy/hide memorial summits? He does have a signature guitar, or can use one of the hide love heart ones...

Which could then lead to Shinya filling in on drums?! He's already played with Toshi in the brainwashing days, and he played drums at the hide memorial summit for X!!!!

Just a bit of speculative banter... ;)

Taiji / Taiji/Loudness songwriting question
« on: July 11, 2008, 02:48:57 AM »
I don't know the details (I'm just a fan of the music! :D) But did Taiji have any writing contributions to the '92 album, was it a whole band thing or is Akira Takasaki the main or only songwriter in the band? Also, is this the case for all the lineups?

Thanks. :D

Yoshiki / Yoshiki Signature Guitar
« on: June 19, 2008, 11:47:20 AM »
Does anyone have any details about Yoshiki's signature guitar? Anything about the hardware etc or when it was (or is it still?) in production?

I find it rather amusing that he has his own signature line... I mean... Its not like you see a "B.C Rich Dave Lombardo Signature" or anything like that :P

Offtopic / If you were stuck on a desert island for a year...
« on: May 11, 2008, 09:00:36 AM »
...and you could only bring 5 CD's, what would they be and why?

THREE RULES

1: Once CD per artist. Sorry, but thats the rule. :P

2: None of this "But why would you be carrying CD's on the island, where would you play them and how did you get on the island? This is a  hypothetical question.

3: No Greatest Hits/Compilation albums. It will make it more interesting. Why did you pick this album instead of the rest of the bands albums?

Alrighty, i'll go first.

1: Radiohead - In Rainbows
My favourite album of 2007. Thom Yorke's voice soothes me... He is one of only two vocalists who has the ability to bring me close to tears. (Guess the other one.)

2: Megadeth - Rust in Peace
When i'm angry, frustrated or whatever, i put this album on and the metal takes everything away. \m/

3: X Japan - Blue Blood
Now this was a hard one... Although Dahlia is my favourite X Japan album, Blue Blood (at least for me) has the overall X Sound. The rockin' leads, the beating drums, and the soft sweet ballads. If i picked Dahlia, after a week or so on the island i'd probably kill myself from Week End Withdrawals...

4: Motorhead - Ace of Spades
One of the "Must Have" albums. Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor made this album more addictive then crack.

5: KISS - KISS
For Deuce mostly... How could i go without my favourite song? This is my favourite KISS album, and it would be nice just chilling in the sun, listening to Strutter and Black Diamond.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what everyone else would bring. :D

TV / Movies / Anime / R.I.P Heath Ledger
« on: January 23, 2008, 02:21:01 AM »
This is really sad :(

"NEW YORK (CNN) -- Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in a Lower Manhattan apartment, the New York Police Department said. The Academy Award-nominated actor was 28.

Ledger was found naked and unresponsive, facedown on the floor at the foot of his bed by a housekeeper trying to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse, said police spokesman Paul Browne.

"Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed," he told CNN.

"This is being looked at as a possible overdose, but that is not confirmed yet."

Browne later told reporters some prescription medications were found in the room, including sleeping pills.

But he stressed police have made no determination of the cause of Ledger's death -- that would be done by the medical examiner."

The Concerts / 2 Questions
« on: September 01, 2007, 05:31:15 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone knows how many concerts X played each year? And who were, or were there any opening bands for the tours?

Thanks.

I've been a KISS fan for life, and i have heard lots of peoples opinions about the band, its members and so on. Many of the people are stupid idiots that don't know what they are talking about :P Now, we are all smart people here (no arse kissing intended, haha) and i was just wondering what peoples favourite KISS line up was/is?

Thanks :)
Jimmy

Ooh, might as well answer my question while im here. The Classic KISS Line Up, Ace, Peter, Gene. Paul, is well...Classic KISS. But imo, the lineup of Gene, Paul Bruce and Eric (either one, really) especially live and on Revenge, are a bloody fantastic lineup! The playing was at a high, and sure, there were more than a few cheesy songs here and there, but they sure put on a show!
Anyway, enough from me. Talk to you all later!

Albums/Singles / Dahlia (song)
« on: May 15, 2007, 11:21:18 AM »
I've noticed that Dahlia isn't on this page, or really spoken about in any of the posts. I was just wondering about peoples views on the song because it was my first X Japan song, i heard it i thought "woah, \m/BRUTAL!!\m/" and just needed to listen to more and more of this beautiful band. Even after having all the albums etc it is still one of my favourite songs by X. What does everyone else think?
