visual could mean a lot of things , not necesarily a man dressed like a girl.. and with makeup.. and nail paint..  well you get my point, i dont like that kind of looks for X... i like their looks more when they dress normal.. ofc that doesnt affect the fact that i like all their music

Covers / Endless Rain Guitar Solo Cover
« on: April 19, 2007, 02:20:14 AM »
You need to work on a few things before playing a solo ...

tempo : make sure your playing at the same time of the song , or else just play alone

tuning : i think your guitar wasnt tuned correctly.. or it seemed to be like that

pull offs and hammer ons : you need to be more consistant on those , do them confidently .. it seemed like if you were afraid of them  :(

vibrato and legato: i dunno if im gonna confuse you here but try to make your playing more steady... vibrato has to be without fear , maybe you should download some excercises

other than that keep on practicing , its the only way to master a song.. or the guitar in general.. btw my comments arent flames.. they are advices so dont take it in the wrong way

Heath / Heath joining X
« on: April 15, 2007, 08:23:19 AM »
it says that heath met hide after a concerter in 1990 , they became really good friends and heath was in charge of a coffeeshop that hide owned , he usually went to the Extasy summit concerts so he had a good relationship with X , so when taiji left X in 1992 they openned auditions for bass players.

Around may when they were in Los Angeles hide called heath to join X , but heath tought hide was drunk , or that he was drunk   and in june he left his band to join X. August 24 1992 at 6 pm Heath is announced the official new X bassist at the Rockefeller center , thats when Heath told the band there was already a band called X , so 6 days later they renamed to X japan.

October 1992 back in japan , Heath was introduced as the official bassist at the Extasy summit '92.

theres a lot more info but its kinda annoying to translate it all haha , i hope that helps    :)

i have only one problem with x japan... and its that i dont like their looks , until when they started using regular clothes ofc... , im just not used to guys in colorfull dresses and 2 feet long hair on the air.. its insane, and all the makeup and stuff they seriously look gay sometimes...

for the rest , the music .. the playing everything is just perfect

General chat / yoshiki vs joey jordison
« on: April 09, 2007, 08:51:11 AM »
one thing that you guys might be missing is that there is no "random" playing for yoshiki , as the so called " random " note bashing for art of life piano solo , its written that way... and i think its the same for the drum solos

its true yoshiki might not be the best but its without a doubt one hell of a player and an amazing musician , his music writing skills and his abilities to play many instruments are amazing , only from a true musician wich probably the other guys mentioned here do not have, yes i did go alittle offtopic because this is about drum skills , but drum skills not only rely on whos faster than the other one... its about how you play it and what you play on it

General chat / [DL] X Japan - Art Of Life (Without Piano Solo)
« on: March 18, 2007, 07:37:44 PM »
how can someone even think of removing the piano solo? its a huge part of the meaning of this song

to some people its just another song and random piano notes , to other its something far beyond that , hence the name art of life... the piano solo represents if i can recall someone who is struggling to be better in life but he fail sometimes ( note bashing ) until he finally makes it right , that when there other part comes and the lyrics change to breaking the walls and running to freedom etc...
