No I don't think so. Whether or not someone risks their health doesn't really decide whether or not they are kings of a genre. Sure he's been influential and is highly respected, but I feel that someone more like Tomoyasu Hotei would be better suited for that title. He really defined the genre of Jrock, and "Battle Without Honour or Humanity" was the first japanese song to really get worldwide coverage, so he may have done more for the genre than Yoshiki.

At first I saw that film just because Tears is in it. When the song came in both times me and my bro were sobbing lol...
Brilliant film, and perfect use of X Japan's music.
Back ontopic, I think Tears is my favourite song of all time. Everything about it is perfect, the music, guitar solo, outtro, Yoshiki's 'monologue', the lyrics... Everything about it is just amazing

We are going to attempt to record a cover of JADE and put it up here before they release it (or at least perform it again...), so we'll need a vocalist for that as well....
