my bad, sorry  ;)

well, somebody needs to voice the disappointment that has been running among fans since literal years (or maybe decades). He's our hero  8)

Finally someone said what really had to be said, Yoshiki had to notice

wow  :o Brave girl, and brave Yoshiki too, it took some guts to face the truth finally and answering publicly (even though it's the same old story about being busy)

Yoshiki / Re: Disney MY MUSIC STORY: YOSHIKI
« on: September 28, 2020, 07:32:24 AM »
I don't think it will much different from We Are X. Besides, among his lost projects there was a YouTube exclusive (obviously self-centered, not about the band) that probably was converted into this as soon as he got the deal with Disney...

speaking about Yoshiki, there are some news... Obviously they have nothing to do with X.  8)

wow! It's the first time that I see him with another bass model rather than his usual ones. He tends to be quite conservative about that  8)

does anybody remember when Yoshiki asked  us to sing Endless Rain and send the video clips?

I guess he called it quits even on that project?  ???

Taiji / Re: Credit Voiceless Screaming
« on: September 12, 2020, 07:57:41 PM »
official credits mention that Toshi wrote the lyrics and Taiji the whole music to the song. Additional musicians are "Bruce Dukov" as a concertmaster and the composer David Campbell as the conductor/arranger of strings (he plays a lot of different musical styles as well as many instruments such as viola and violin, maybe it's him who recorded the violin track)

sometimes we have a tendency to dream about people we love when we're put under stress. So it's like Hide has been your guardian angel  :)

to think that he'd still be here with us if only he didn't drink that much the night before his disappearance is heartwrenching.

I'm always wondering what is Heath doing all day. He keeps so quiet...

I checked the Japanese Wiki voice about him, nothing new. Did the same with the official website, same result.  :o

is he ghostwriting songs or performing with another stage name?

102
8) haha yes,

what was it?

they didn't announce the name of the song  ;D I'm still wondering

103
everytime I remember this classic, my inner voice always sings like Hide's  8) sorry, mr. Morrison  :D

by the way, today I was listening to some radio stations on shuffle and I happened to listen to something very much alike Rocket Dive, except it was from a band from the past decade. In the midst of a collective nostalgia for the 80s and the 90s, I wonder when the sound of the early 2000s will come back.  ;)

perhaps it's easier to search from Japanese sources by adjusting the search engine settings...  I found some interesting interviews from Yoshiki that way, that weren't translated into English

let me dream about AoL 2: written by Yoshiki, performed by... Somebody else (obviously).  ;D

but it's a rare occurrence that he lets others play his own melodies.

I never heard this before, but it's nice ✌️when it come to AOL i think i always need more time to 'understand' this song 😁

just imagine that Yoshiki only took 2 weeks to conceive this masterpiece (I might be biased, but Art of Life could very well be the best song ever in terms of depicting an emotional experience of loss and then recover) while the new album literally takes forever to get out of its nest... https://www.loudersound.com/features/the-10-best-x-japan-songs-as-chosen-by-yoshiki

an interviewer thankfully asked him about the X Japan album considering it was 1996 when Dahlia came out. He basically says he's waiting for the right time and how it's tough when you cannot do a live right now. It's exactly as I said. Yoshiki thinks some magical moment will come by when the American music scene is waiting for him and he'll make a splash. That was 2010 but you fucked around for a decade. Honestly, just release the album and schedule some tour dates when COVID has calmed down a lot, give some banger performances and call it a day.

I still feel like we're somehow missing a piece of this puzzle, aside from the usual melting pot of theories about management problems, distressed relationships in the band, Yoshiki not really wanting this album to come out and so on. Really, nobody can delay an album for such a long time... Nobody

in case it has never been posted. I feel like this version is even more 'tragic' than the final recording, perhaps the lack of vocals makes you appreciate how much this song is tormented even without lyrics.

I remember that in 2008 I was searching for some good Japanese speed metal and I discovered them by chance (or maybe I couldn't really have had another choice, X were and still are at the #1 spot when it comes to that musical genre). Then I started listening to World Anthem / Blue Blood and I was literally flabbergasted. I'll never forget the rawness of Yoshiki's drums and the whole signature sound of that album... Because I like a lot less songs where each instrument is  remixed and polished to the point that the whole recording almost sounds unreal.

how come that neither top musicians nor indie artists produce something that sounds that way anymore...  :'( I'm not even debating on the complexity and the meaning of the songs, just how they sound globally.

So..it turns out that yesterday's press conference was to announce his project with  St. Vincent, their song is New York. It's on YouTube , here's the link if any of you interested,if not that's fine

nice arrangement, even though it's not my genre. I'll never get used to Yoshiki releasing new music with other singers/musicians rather than X.

oh and Yoshiki has been working on a remixed version of Tears.

(not really, it's a late April's fool joke inspired by this tweet  8)  https://twitter.com/YoshikiOfficial/status/1297403507599843328

« on: August 20, 2020, 07:44:24 AM »
do you think toshi keeps his youtube comment box closed so that he can avoid X related questions and comments?

definitely yes. Also, on his Instagram there's no mention of X since... Ever. All of his pictures are about his solo career.

Plus, he doesn't even follow the official IG page for the band...

we can only barely imagine how much Toshi holds a grudge against the whole affair :-X

nothing speaks louder than Yoshiki self-promoting his music on Instagram in English and Toshi self-promoting his music on Instagram in Japanese. No wonder that the comeback of the band has been postponed to the year 3000.  8)

Taiji / Re: Why Taiji was fired by Yoshiki
« on: July 27, 2020, 08:26:50 PM »
I think it has a lot more to do with the known fact that some fans just idolize Yoshiki regardless of what he does, so it might be a  tad too difficult to digest what Taiji said about the past management of the band. It's a matter of acceptance more than of a 'mysterious secret truth'

Taiji / Re: Why Taiji was fired by Yoshiki

recently stumbled across this: https://ameblo.jp/xjapanxx/entry-10977113468.html

"In 1992, He left the band because, according to the official press release, he had “musical differences” with the group. However, in Taiji’s autobiography Uchuu o Kakeru Tomo e: Densetsu no Bando X no Sei to Shi he says that, in truth, he was asked to leave because he confronted Yoshiki about the substantial income gap between Yoshiki and the other band members"

that would also explain why Yoshiki was so secretive about it in "We are X"

Yoshiki recently posted a picture on IG to remember Taiji and the caption "even though we fought a lot, I miss you" made me think about the chapter from this autobiography where he almost predicts the downfall of X speaking about the harshness of being in a band together with him. Some things really come full circle in life...

I just had to google this, because i've never heard the term hyperthyroidism (Schilddrüsenüberfunktion in German). Well... I can hardly imagine him having this. But what do I know.  ;)
