If I were you, I won't even care if he really remember you or not. The most important thing is, that you have met him!

You are right, at the end of the day it only matters that he gives his fans the opportunity to meet him and to talk to him!
He didn't give just a view alibi autographs before storming out of the cinema.
I had the opportunity to do what I wanted to do. So I am good either way.

For all I know celebrities' have to pay for a Star on the Walk of Fame but there is a supposedly anonymous committee who will decide who is allowed to leave their marks in front of the TLC.

But...there have been mock ceremonies for promotional reasons and the imprints of those are relocated after a while,

Let's wait and see!

Maybe, maybe not!
No need to say it if it isn't true IMHO.
And why take the time to do it if he basically mobbed by a bunch of fans who want selfies and autographs and you could just make fans happy with that?
Thinking I was someone else? Possible as well.

Anyway I have the opportunity to test that theory in October  ;)
Until then no one will burst my happy bubble  ;D

I mainly use Twitter to get points for Yoshiki's Socialtoaster.
So yeah, the content is like 95% Yoshiki related.
I am not the biggest fan of Twitter (I refuse to call it X) and use another platform to stay in touch with my friends.
(who still have to endure quite a bit of Yoshiki related posts....lol)

Thanks for telling us your experience. I am so happy for you! Did you take any photos of the cinema inside/outside or even some pics of Yoshiki?

you find them on my twitter account. fortunately the lightning in the movi theater wasn't the best during the interview

Thank you! <3
Never ever would I have expected anything like that. Not even in my wildest dreams (and those are pretty WILD).
The way he looked at me, I mean REALLY looked at me, not just seeing that someone was standing in front of him and then saying "We met before!"
It feels like a dream!

I guess acting like a fool in front of your idol does make an impression...rofl
Long story short...I once had a selfie opportunity  and tried to take a selfie without flipping the screen!
(he has a terrible affect on my IQ)
Soooo embarrassing! But he was very kind about it and hey, I got another opportunity to pose with him!
And it seems I made an impression

Initially I had no plans to fly to London until I heard that a friend from Spain was going.
At first I thought it was a bit crazy to do that but all my friends are horrible enablers who told me to go  ;)  (I love them for that)
in 2016 I went to Amsterdam to see the European premiere of "we are X", so I guess flying to London continued the trend to me being a crazy fangirl.  ;)

Odeon is a cinema chain in the UK, and the Odeon close to Covent Garden sure looks like an old classic movie theater but it is very dated.
When I discovered the more modern luxury versions of the Odeon cinemas close to Leicester Square it felt a bit as if "Under the Sky" had been banned to a backyard cinema,
They didn't even have a poster up outside until 2 hours before the screening but the movie was sold out anyway.
I asked if I could have the poster after the screening...but they said no.  :'(
They made up for it by playing X Japan songs in the lobby.

What can I say about the movie?
It is part concert movie, part a movie for fans about fans, part a movie about going on after hard times and the healing power of music.
There isn't really anything new, nothing which differs from what Yoshiki already said. At least when you have been a fan for some time.
There was a bigger segment about a widower who talked about his wife and how Yoshiki's music helped her in the final stages of her sickness before she passed away.

The videos people submitted for the Endless Rain project were used for for "Under the Sky" and that was a big goosebump moment. But I was very glad that I wasn't featured as one of the singers. But it was surely very nice for some fans.

The credits ended with "to be continued"

Would I watch it again? Of course!
If you are a fan you don't want to miss it,. (if you don't like Yoshiki then probably not)

There was a Q&A after the movie and the interviewer was really well prepared. Something you don't always see. I forgot his name (I am bad with names) but he said that he has been doing music documentaries.

After the Q&A Yoshiki spent some time with his fans, signing stuff, selfies, etc.
I gave him a little gift and thanked him for coming to Europe to show the movie and spending time with his fans.
He looked at me and said "We met before!".....FLOORED. My IQ plummeted to non-measurable levels at that moment and all I managed was to say a location.

All in all a wonderful day in London and meeting quite a few of my fellow X Japan fans. (my body wasn't too happy about two really early flight and pulling an all-nighter ...but it was totally worth it and I would do it all over again)

that Toshi is missing?

I admit I liked the piano version of Sweet Dreams, but I won't miss Marilyn Manson.

it sucks for Yoshiki though as they had collaborated on several songs.

Hm...I wonder if the release of "Under the Sky" was delayed that much to see if it would be less controversial to include Manson at one point.

Toshi doesn't seem to miss X Japan.
No word about the Angel release.

The question is: Was Toshi asked and he rejected the invitation or wasn't he even asked?

Under the Sky will finally be released.
I hope that an international release date will be announced soon.

By the look of it  Marilyn Manson has been removed from the project.

The very limited guitar, albeit, power chords which aren’t palm muted, makes me think Yoshiki’s worked on Angel by himself in the studio with an old ToshI audio track.

that could very well be the case

And once again complete radio silence from Toshi  (and Pata)

ok, the link was tweeted by Yoshiki Channel so I assume it is legit.

I like the song.

The piano version actually fits the song quite well

I have only seen a youtube video from an UNOFFICIAL source.
so my question is if this is really the official version?

and the champagne is quite a bit more expensive in Germany than in Japan.
In Japan it was selling for around 16.000 YEN which is around 110 Euro.
Does "gift box" imply it comes with extras?

There was supposed to be a Q&A in Paris but it didn't happen, so there are no news I could share.
I guess the time originally applied to the Q&A was used up by the last minute addition of XY.

Yoshiki / Re: Press Conference Berlin 14.7.23

it's definitely surprising

and as usually there is a lot to leave desired when it comes to marketing activities.

The moment I decide to have a press conference all the relevant info should be available on the official homepage once the press conference takes place and not days later.
And the champagne should be readily available.

According to one article the release should have been on July 17th but none of the official resellers is offering yet.
I asked the KaDeWe about the release date but they could only tell me that the champagne is still in the launching phase and that they don't have a date yet.

According to one source the champagne will be sold in a gift box for around 200 Euro.
Considering that Yoshki is basically unknown in Germany to the general public it is probably safe to say that most buyers will be foreign fans

What will Yoshiki announce today?

The Fashion week is happening in Berlin right now..will it be fashion related?

Or maybe XY related?

Yoshiki is in Europe.
XY are in Europe.
They all will perform at the Japan Expo in Paris tomorrow tomorrow.
Are XY in Berlin today?
Will Yoshiki announce a  XY tour today?

29
I know what you mean.
I was hoping for concerts, for song releases....

if X is done they should be honest about it and give the fans the album and then finish X with the dignity it deserves!

At today's press conference in Paris someone asked Yoshiki if he would work with Toshi again.

His answer "Yes, I hope so!"

Then he went on to say that he wants to perform with his band soon again but until October he is busied with the Classical Concerts
