Pata / Re: Pata's Solo Career
« on: March 10, 2017, 04:45:28 PM »
Sooo... I listened to "Raised on Rock" today. And I have to say even though the quality of all the songs is amazingly good I really don't like the singer. ^^° The instrumental only songs are my favs. "Fly Away" and "Remind you" are nice. Oh and all songs sound reeeeaaally old-school. I think you gotta like this to enjoy the music.

nb and me will listen to "Pata" soon to see if it's any different. :)

sry for the crapy quality   :-\

It does have english and japanese in the booklet and it looks very beautiful on our couch. :) btw... we still haven't found the time to listen to it. ^^°

The Concerts / Re: London Concert 2017, anyone?

As for the comments on people who were 'quiet'. I think it is totally appropriate for people to enjoy a concert in their own way.

Perhaps these people do not have the kind of pain I am currently experiencing. My neck still hurts badly from headbanging ...
The funny thing is... I'm usually a very quiet person as well. But if I get the opportunity (and the concert was just perfect for that) to let out all my emotions I gladly take that chance. ;-) Still that guy next to magucathy (even if he was an introvert) not even clapping his hands once is kinda creepy. But yes he is most likely physically well. :D Unlike some other people. ^^

I'm soooooo looking forward to watch the broadcast. :D

Yes! me too!!

BTW, did you notice the guy sat next to me?  I think he's kind of weird. He didn't clap his hands once, he didn't stand up nor make any noise, only sitting there and made some photos or videos with his small camera.

I wanted to ask you since some time but kept on forgetting, is your avatar Arashi Kishu in CLAMP's X?

No I didn't notice him. But the two girls in front of me behaved very quiet, too. Weird. I did not go there to quietly watch everything, yknow?

My avatar is Sunako Nakahara from "Perfect Girl".

I forgot to note that some random dude in the audience really loves Yoshiki. And the overall interaction with the audience was very nice. Toshi is sooo cool and relaxed when talking. ^^

Drain - we headbanged sooooooo hard
La Venus - sounded lovely live
Kurenai - such a fucking perfect song...
X - we screamed like mad

Yoshiki covered Queen and David Bowie on piano

Endless Rain... okay I admit it. I just say this because it's one of my favs
Art of Life - Toshi hit that last note just perfectly... and damn Toshi can sing...

They will definitely play "La Venus" and some classics like "X", "Endless Rain", "Kurenai". You know them.  ;)

As for the rest... maybe "Born to be free", "Jade", "Kiss the Sky", "I.V.", "Without you", "Forever Love" aaaand I don't know...

Nice interview.  :D
At some point they were talking about Yoshiki diving into his drumset. And she asked "So did you damage your drumset?" Yoshiki: "No, I damaged my body."

Nice to hear that he is aware of the fact, that he is a crazy weirdo.

But the version they're showing at the concert is shorter than the normal version, isn't it? Makes you think that by "deleted scenes" they mean that they deleted some scenes  :P I'm mainly going tomorrow for the Q&A - who would miss the opportunity to actually see Yoshiki give the same answers to the same questions  ;D
I didn't realized this until you mentioned it... Yes it is. Weird.  :o

Really? O.ò Please stop it... I'm okay with the album coming out later. I didn't expected it this early anyway...

The website says you can pay with contactless cards, but I don't know if we can then assume you can pay with all cards? Anyway it also says there are ATMs inside the venue, so I guess you could get cash if needed.

Ah thanks for the information. That might be helpful.

@ CapitanAdamo: Nope, luckily we didn't.

I would take a 99% done album... the question isn't "Is it done?" It's more "Is it reaaaaally going to be released one beautiful day?"

Thanks for posting that video. Would have been good if they'd have done more of that in the last weeks/months to promote the concert. But not gonna complain, as you don't really see them all together that often. ;)
Agreed. :) Thanks again for posting.

I laughed a little at 0:19 "Nobody would believe that..."

I am still fighting with myself if I should go or not...

Kick your husband's ass and get him and yourself on the way!
Maybe I should do the same. :)

Yes old topic... I know.

However my fav is... Blue Blood!

For me it goes like this: Blue Blood > Art of Life > Dahlia > Jealousy > Vanishing Vision (even though Vanishing Vision is still great!)

90 hours and La Venus is the only new song. Oh the drama...
Guess we can expect it to be thoroughly overproduced  :o
Well yes, that's exactly what I'm expecting, but at least it's done. :D

I think this "unplugged" version is the same which was on "The World".

Actually according to the press release about the soundtrack, both La Venus and Without You were recorded this year. o_O
It seems like it isn't even done yet. Yoshiki just wrote that he is still recording. And that he hasn't slept in over 80 hours. I hope he has gone to sleep now...

Okay I know this topic is old, but I've been thinking about that lately... so...

Musicians I want to see, before I die:
- X Japan (obviously)
- L'Arc~en~Ciel
- Chara (I freaking love that crazy woman, actually want to see her more than L'Arc and X...)
- Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (with nb-chan together, since he once said he was unsure if he fits in there... you do darling :P)
- Cocco

Bands I would've loved to see, but it's impossible now:
- Ladybaby (they lost Ladybeard)
- Malice Mizer (...)

I wonder what the '3rd movement' of Art of Life is, as the 2nd one is the one after the piano break and after that ... well ... the song's over lol

I reckon the third movement is after the piano section, so the last few minutes of the song?
That would be my guess as well, since thats the part also shown in the movie.

But I liked Asukas idea of just heavy breathing recorded... it reminded me of White Poem I.  :P

At least he did mention it at all! Maybe the promotion starts now... very last minute, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Edit: like this News article at least mentions the concert: http://natalie.mu/music/news/218291 (but it's actually talking about the We are X movie and soundtrack)
