She posted a video thanking him for drum lessons and shit. Unfortunately, it seems like he truly is the way he is

X burned in the worst way. What a sad end to the story. Heath’s death, insufferable Yoshiki narcissism, and another falling out with Toshi

Aside from seeing Toshi and Yoshiki mend things, my biggest wish is getting Kiss the Sky. I suppose it’s possible since they put out Angel

Great to see Pata and Yoshiki up there. Pretty wild that the stage even looks like X’s

This is a very sad ending to the X Japan story :/ They almost had a happy ending with coming back, but even that had to seemingly end in tragedy

Heath / Re: News of Heath's death
« on: November 08, 2023, 12:52:36 AM »
Today’s news has been a shock to all of us. I had no idea Heath was sick, and this is no doubt a tragedy. My heart goes out to his bandmates, friends, and family. 55 is far too young.

I really want to just thank Heath for an incredible career. Heath’s importance to X Japan cannot be overstated. He was a key band member that spent years contributing to the finest metal band in Japanese history.

It is incredible that his first project with the band was “Art of Life”. It’s my favorite X Japan song (one of my all- time- favorite songs, in fact), and it really is amazing that the first thing he had to tackle was a 30+ minute metal- opus! He then obviously recorded bass for all of the Dahlia songs and held down the fort for all the gigs and for the legendary Last Live. I am glad he got a second stint with the reunion, too. I am hoping we get to hear his final recorded parts with X Japan, someday.

I am happy he got to play with Yoshiki one last time, recently. That will go down as a very special moment. It is heartbreaking he said he hopes the band could play Tokyo Dome again, and I hope they do in his memory. hide and Taiji have gotten many tributes from the band, Heath no doubt deserves the same.

Life is short, even if they never play together again I hope the rest of the band can make amends again and find common ground. X Japan has always had a lot of darkness surround it for some reason, but it always found away to push through and make something beautiful.

Thank you, Heath. I hope you rest well.

We are X.

Really goes to show that post- reunion music isn’t even worth it. I think we all want the album symbolically, but the music just isn’t that good. I do like Jade, though.

Apart from that, I wouldn’t think twice about any of the reunion songs if they weren’t labeled, “X Japan”. I don’t need an album at this point, I’ll just be happy if Yoshiki puts out Kiss the Sky. That is the one song that seems interesting to me.

The best part of the reunion was for sure the concerts. It was especially great for people who didn’t get to see them in the 80s and 90s. I’m super grateful I got to see them in Chicago.

Toshi sounds nice but it’s a very generic song. Some nice production, but man, it’s not worth the drama.

It actually came out! No guitar solo, but Toshi’s vocals are intact

Not the most amazing song I’ve heard, but it has some nice melody’s and Toshi sounds good

I think he did a great job. At this point, I will be very happy if Hyde sings this song. Anyway Yoshiki's voice is not a good singer's voice IMO.

I am fine with Hyde replacing Toshi if it means more songs will be released.

At this point I guess I agree

I guess it comes down to whatever contract they had and that maybe Toshi couldn't stop the release even if he wanted?

No word from him about the release...I am not even surprised.
Pata didn't either, but he isn't that active on Twitter.
Sugizo didn't post anything either.

Even the "official" announcement sounded so "formal".
Everything about it is super weird.

Yeah, is odd. Why even put it out now?

It is possible Toshi doesn’t care about this considering the vocals would have been put on years ago. I hope that’s not the case

Tickets are reasonable. Purchased 3 and am hoping my college buddy can make this! I got him into X years ago and have been wanting to attend an X show with him since. This is a great opportunity!

This will be my second time seeing Yoshiki or any other member since the X Japan show I saw all those years ago in 2010

General chat / Re: Did Toshi screw up X Japan again?
« on: May 16, 2023, 06:18:05 PM »
I remember an interview where Yoshiki said that bringing X to the west was hard because of many things, including "one member which doesn't care about touring worldwide" or something like this.

Heath is the only one who nobody knows anything about him besides X. What is he doing? Why is he the only one who doesn't have any social media at all?
Pata was late, but at least he is now active on Instagram. But Toshi is a weird case. He deleted all photos and mentions about X from his social media, from his website, from his blog, which are all only in japanese. Yoshiki and Sugizo posts are japanese and english. Sugizo is the newest member and yet he still presents himself as "guitarist of Luna Sea and X JAPAN". Damn, even Maiko presents herself as "keyboardist for X JAPAN" on her social media and sometimes posts in english and replies X fans who asks her questions.

Why in hell Toshi, one of the founding members, pretends X never existed? I always thought the "member who didn't care about touring worldwide" was Heath because he is too quiet, but sometimes I think it may be Toshi...

It’s clear something happened in 2018 and that’s all probably a reaction to it. Hopefully, Angel’s release means some kind of compromise was met between the two parties (Yoshiki and Toshi). If so, it can pave the way for the record or future music. Who knows if they will play again, though. Either way, I hope this is a step in the right direction

As long as we get Kiss the Sky someday, I’m good. Would love the album as closure, but that’s the only song that I feel like would be worth all the drama and waiting. We will see

I hope Angel is pretty different from the live versions. In “We are X” it was alluded that it would have more guitars. Fingers crossed
