I have to say Tears.
Yesterday I felt really bad when i had argued with my friends, and my iPod was on shuffle. I was crying like a fucking Niagara, and then tears started to play. I was like "et tu mi Brute." <.<''

IMHO the best X Japan guitar solo ever.
Yes, I don't know if it's THE best, but it sure is close to that!

I listened to Silent Jealousy today morning in a bus while going to school, and I felt a sudden urge to start playing air guitar and humming the solo like "piuwiuwiuwiutilililililiwhaaaaaaammwoooooouuuuuummmmnaaaannaanaaaa whililililililinroaaaaaaaagghhh".
Thank god I didn't.

Silent Jealousy. That song has one goddamn perfect guitar solo.
I've never been THAT much into Silent Jealousy but now I've realized how kick ass it is.

When you go to collage to study japanease just becouse you want to understand what Toshi says in MCs.(it wasn't the only reason thou)
Or you go to university on your summer holiday to understand what Toshi says in MCs :D I've been spending three of my summer holidays that way.

When you play them so much your  8 year old brother and mum like listening to them. XD
My 52-year-old mum said that if X ever comes to Finland, she'll come with me to see them....

General chat / Re: The best way to watch X..
« on: October 05, 2009, 09:01:08 AM »
Another important factor: Watch X when you're alone or with X fans, that way, the sound can go all the way up!
Earphones just don't do it for me...
Yes, so that the neighbours will hear X's awesumness too :3

And when watching with fellow X freaks, the sound has to be so loud, that you can hear it even when you all are singing along "X"... :D

^ You ordered BB and Jealousy for 60€ each? That's pretty amazing for a band you just disovered :O Respect, mate.

I guess they were about 60€ each :D

8O
Wut? O_O
Haha yes :D I also payed 26€ for Tears 3" single. They are rare around here! I can't even remember where I ordered them, but I remember my empty wallet after that.. <.<''

"You know you're addicted to X when..." :DDD

ps. 60€ isn't even much. I remember when I ordered Sigur Rós's MEd Syd i Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust Limited Edition for 300€ straight from Iceland... hehe...

General chat / Re: How did you discover X Japan?

I guess it was around 2004 when I first got into japanese rock music at all. I'd gotten heavily into Malice Mizer first, and I used this one online forum [can't even recall the name...]. I met some guys there, and they were into hide and X, so they recommended both. I first gave X a listen, and I think the first song I heard was... Orgasm or Blue Blood, really can't recall :D But anyways, it was one of the speed metal tracks.
Since I was [and still am] a HUGE speed metal, thrash metal and NWOBHM freak I thought X were fucking cool.  The insane drumming, fast guitars and high [but surprisingly not annoying like usually in speed metal] vocals...
Soon I ordered Blue Blood and Jealousy albums because they weren't sold in Finland. I guess they were about 60€ each :D The ballads really surprised me, but I thought it was awesome - not a single band I had heard before could have tracks like "X" and "Endless Rain" one after another on a record. And I like ballads and classical music very much.

And after Vanishing Vision there was no way turning back :D

Vanishing Vision all the way, baby!
Seconded. Awesome album, and Sadistic Desire is enough to make it the best album >83 And you just gotta love the cover art work. Hot damn!

Other Bands / Re: Dead End

I seriously ADORE Dead End. Awesome music. One of the best heavy metal bands ever. Period.
Their debut album "Dead Line" owns pretty heavily, and Shambara is a great album too. And personally, I like Morrie's solo works much, "Ignorance" album is just great [very different from Dead End, but I think that makes it just more awesome :D].

When I heard that Dead End is up and running again, I shat bricks. First Rosenfeld did a reunion gig, now Dead End is recording... what next? O:

Nobody has mentioned Helloween? O__o
Helloween is a German speed/thrash metal band [later their sound was more power metal], and I think they are very similiar to early X [indies, Vanishing Vision, maybe even Blue Blood]. Helloween's self-titeled debut album and their second album album "Walls of Jericho" are in my top 5 speed metal records.

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynm1uKBNiPE[/youtube]

Anthrax is also a cool western thrash band, especially with Joey Belladonna on vocals around 1985. "Among the Living" and "Spreading the Disease" are super albums.

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_yKpBPHJug[/youtube]

AION and Flatbacker were mentioned already [great bands, both]... If someone wants to check out some great japanese metal bands, I'd recommend Rosenfeld, Dead End, Vasalla, vellaDonna, Rommel, Loudness and Casbah ;3

... and damn, 80's Iron Maiden just rocks

My all time favourite must be Sadistic Desire [Saber Tiger's original version Sadistic Emotion ist pretty awesome too, with Kyo on vocals *O*] - but at this moment I'm hooked to Phantom of Guilt.
Vanishing Vision must be one of the best metal albums I've heard.
I think I love you.
XD
YAY I'm loved ^____^
