I'm trying really hard not to fangirl over Sugizo and his outfit right now. Jeez, I thought I'd get over this by the time I became an adult, but it's just as bad as before.

sssshh! Don't say the 'f' word!
Ack...what has been seen (and said) cannot be unseen (and unsaid)..

I thought I was over my fangirl days...and then I became an X fan, and...yeah... can't be helped, in some cases. XDD Just surrender to it and admit you are powerless. There may be a 12-step program soon enough which could help...

Hey thanks for that! Good stuff!
Pata's outfit...ah well, he's Pata. He's excused.

Taiji / Re: Interview with Taiji !
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:15:09 PM »
Thanks for this!

By the way, anyone else find it a bit...odd (for lack of a better word)..that Taiji should use 'boku' to refer to himself instead of the more macho 'ore'? For me it seems kinda incongruous with him...

Lets just hope Yoshiki's neck can handle all the demand! haha. Wait...what am I saying? Yoshiki is god, he's a man made of steel! Of course he can handle this demand! He's the asian Bono! >:D

Rob Lowe's Iron Man has nothing on Yoshiki XDDD
(that was a JOKE, for those lacking a sense of humour).

And Palma, nice sig ^^;

I'll keep my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed... maybe some deity will see my efforts and decide to reward me lol  ;D

Hmm, I really hope that this will not be the case however, I remember a tweet from DespairsRay. They were asked on numerous occasion by fans to play in the UK but apperantly the UK promoters were not willing to bring the band over because of the small fan base. Here is a copy of their tweet:
@el_music We had enough people; the J-Rock scene in UK is still small and we couldn't convince UK promoters that we are worth bringing over!

Of course X is a much bigger band the Despa and Miyavi did play in London so there is HOPE!

I'm a hold onto that, for as long as I can lol XDDD
I'm not actually a fan of J-rock in general, but from the (admittedly) little that I do know, it seem to me that X have equal amount if not more fans than have DespairsRay or Miyavi. I think if many fans will travel to Paris, then I hope also they will travel to London. X do seem to have to a travelling fan base. I think they could rock the Brixton Accademy here, no problem.  It may be wishful thinking, I don't know....

7

I think in Europe X will probably play only a few concerts. Paris is a given, and Germany is also a large possibility (Germany has probably the strongest JRock fanbase in Europe) and also a show in Scandinavia (given that at the 2008 Countdown Lives they announced they would play in Finland).

I don't think they'd play in the UK unfortunately for me. The scene isn't really strong enough and X would have to settle for a 400 capacity venue, which may not even sell out. Also given that France is so geologically close, they probably think that UK fans will travel (XJapan.co.uk was actually created to coax UK fans over to the failed Paris concert at Bercy).

You really think they won't play the UK? I genuinely thought there was a sizeable enough fan base here. I could be wrong though ;) London's one of the tourist hotspots of the world, surely people would follow them to here also??
Well, if Paris it is, then Paris it is.

crazy fangirl situation? Us? Never! XDDD
Because of course, we don't limit our discussion purely to the musical composition of pre 1996 pieces or what type of locking studs Taiji uses, and HORROR OF HORRORS we actually have the downright PSYCHOTICNESS to say OUT LOUD that Heath is, you know, kinda hot...(wow, we're female and we think a MALE MUSICIAN is attractive...what a heinous crime!) therefore we MUST be fangirls. Naturally. XDDDD  Mr. Sexy Bones. Ah hah ah hah. SORRY! Heath. Sincerest apologies and all that. Anyway, that's enough of my derailment of this topic  ;D

Who is Mr. Sexy Bones , is a Japanese word for Heath ?

It's a nickname my friend J and I gave him, and I started using it in this forum, much to the very vocal dislike of some people. However, yes, the Japanese fans know of our nickname for him and think it very amusing indeed XDDD Ah well, live and let live I say :)
Sexy Bones is very appropriate. The boy needs to eat more often! As for Taiji, well he used to be quite something about 25 years ago. He is still a good looking man just a bit more weather worn...:)

I'm guessing you're joking here, but in case you're not, I'm sure he's the naturally tall, thin type; the type that has immense trouble gaining 1/4lb even if they eat 3x their daily allowance. I think the scientific name for people like that is 'ectomorph'. Lol sounds kinda scary XDDD

And Taiji 2 decades ago was smoking hot, completely. I don't know what type of locking studs he used back then though... Come to think of it, i don't even know what type of locking studs Heath uses! OH MY GOD! I'm letting down my fangirl reputation!! XDD

Back on topic, ENJOY MASSEY HALL, those who are going!

I will be @ Massey Hall as well ;D
I also would like to pass a small present to HEATH from his "gaijin fans". Could anyone here help me with that? I don't want it to turn into a crazy fangirl situation so if ANYONE here knows somebody who could help me do this in a respectful and civilized manner I would really appreciate if that person (or persons) would PM me.

Thanks a bunch!

FANGIRLS... US?! ....NO! NEVER! ;D

As you sig clearly says ^^
Some people don't seem to understand that, you know, X forums are more active when X are actually DOING SOMETHING, like TOURING, you know? And that makes us fangirls too; talking about X when they're, like, DOING SOMETHING. XDDD

Anyway...no such luck for me to go to Toronto, meh. But congrats to those who are. I'm sure it'll be a fantastic event (whether or not Heath gets his reptilian gift...which he'll most likely just use to beat Pata round the head with, or use as a loo brush, or something useful like that).

X Japan's management and X Japan themselves are two completely different things( or at least, i HOPE they are).

That's what I'd hope too.

You're creating a support forum for Heath? Isn't that a bit ott since Yoshiki said himself Heath was completely okay with it, and Taiji's only a guest.

Here's how the conversation went,

Taiji: Hi Heath, say I'd love to appear only a guest for a couple of hours with you guys, just for old times sake, that okay?

Heath: yeah go ahead.

Or have I gotten completely the wrong end of the stick here?

And drivedrivebaby, I'm assuming "2 days to the show" is a typo right? Considering the concert is tomorrow.

Yes, you're getting the wrong end of the stick XDDD  Very much so.
I have absolutely no qualms about Taiji playing for a few songs, none whatsoever. In fact, I'm pretty happy about it, to tell the truth. I've said this in previous posts (but you'll have to just take my word for it unless you want to go trailing through all my posts to find it lol). Never had anything against Taiji and never will.

Support forum? Hardly. If you want to know what Palma's got planned, PM her I guess lol. No idea if any of it is even viable and will come to fruition but hey, nothing ventured nothing gained.

And no it's not a typo. I was having a momentary brain lapse and thought today was Thursday instead of Friday... Sorry, I'm a blonde. What can you do eh!

Not a bad idea. I'l keep you guys posted.  If the answer is yes, then maybe we could turn this into a forum thing as well.

Please do :) And how to do you mean, a forum thing?

Ooh...I've got an idea... check your PM's lol XDD

(lol love it how we've derailed this topic XDD )

LOL. Email sent. Now wait and see.
I'm sure that htere are lots of people on this forum who would love to show HEATH their love/support.
If I'd get the chance I wouldn't mind playing the messanger. OK derailment stops here!XDDDDDDDDD

Derailment begins again (albeit briefly) here XDDD :

If you didn't play messenger, a lot of fans registered or lurking here might actually want to kill you ;)

And if they say no, then they say no, but nothing ventured nothing gained so kudos to you.

Right, end of derailment lol!

2 days to the show, pray for good weather!!

Yes, they were nice and now it is smooth sailing. I just wish that he would do something special for his Canadian fanclub member when he is playing here in Toronto ;D

Perhaps he would? ;) I mean, if you're the only Canadian member of the fanclub, that's a novelty. And seeing as he's going to be in your area...
Shoot them an email, see what happens. You never know if you don't try.

Their issue was that I didn't have a Japanese bank account or a Japanese mailing address. I had to work around that a bit but in the end they had no problems with mailing stuff to me to Canada. ;D

ahh, if that's what you mean then they said to me too, and apparently to various others. I didn't take it that they didn't want gaijin fans, I think they're pleased for the extra money XDDD Anyway after that, everything went smoothly though. His staff are really great, always on the ball, and their English is impeccable.

Heath has never written a song for the band, other than collaborating on wriggle, and is generally unremarkable in the context of X Japan. Maybe he can go work with Issay again, that shit had potential.

I disagree that he's unremarkable; he looks the part, he plays well, and he has a great rapport with the others. He's substantially different than Taiji, but both have their merits. I am, however, 100% with you that Heath should work with Issay again. Completely.

I heard somewhere that he was dating someone much younger than him, I think she used to work for some blog or internet journal or something, it wasn't completely clear. But as to whether or not they got married, no idea. Whoever she is, good luck to her  :) I hope she's helping him recuperate.

It will be fun to witness the reactions and  looks on the face of crazy fans  when Taiji and Heath play together.
I sure will have a good time no matther what.

I think they're both awesome, and I love that they're so different. It would be fantastic to see them in a duel, or duet XDDD

Nah, not everyone in X Wonderland is an OTT fangirl or a raving loony. I think one of the things is that you've got people of varying ages there, so the youngsters are bound to behave...well...more like youngsters lol.  And if you're attracted to a band member and you mention it (or keep mentioning it) and wish to discuss about them then does not necessarily equate to being a fangirl. I'm a female who is attracted to Heath, and I don't make a point to hide it lol, but that doesn't make me a loony lol. If you want to laugh at me or call me a fangirl for that, then so be it, but IMO at least a fangirl is someone far more extreme.

and btw the credits thing and the requirement to post to see hidden content thing; these are a staple of Chinese forums and they are where I became accustomed to them. X Wonderland is actually a Chinese forum that isn't restricted solely to China. Initially when I joined a few Chinese forums last year I too had a problem with credits and hidden content aspects, and it's not difficult to see why, because they are something alien to western forums. We're used to having everything at our disposal immediately and when it's not, it wouldn't be unnatural to question why and even to be irritated. It's just the Chinese way of doing things, and for the most part they have their reasons, such as the content being something on which the poster has worked hard and they would just like acknowledgement of that by people replying if only to say "thanks" (even if they don't even mean it lol). That's the general mindset of it really.

There seems to be general reluctance on Pata's part to really feature; he shows up, he does his bit, he's by far and large extremely reticent whether with his bandmates or the fans. I didn't follow Ra:In so I have no idea how he's like when he's with them, but where X is concerned he seems very "meh" about it all.

Has Pata ever been any different with X...? :)

Not that I'm aware. That's precisely why I said it XDDD If there's any reluctance it seems most likely to come from him (not removing Heath from the equation at all though).
