I am really happy to share my wonderful experience with everyone.  Not everyday do you get to meet a rock legend's mum!

I haven't been on the forum much because of the earthquake back in March (I immediately was involved in the animal rescue efforts which consumed most of my time...these continue to today) and then, in September, I suffered my own difficult loss and so things have been pretty tough.

Meeting hide's mum cheered me up.  It was just so easy to talk to her.  hide was lucky to have a mum like her, and her to have hide.

I hope to see X this year.  Last year I got to see them three times in some capacity or another.  I hope for the same this year.

My best regards to all X fans on this forum.

SOOOOO frustrating.  Ajinomoto Stadium is near where I live.  And, I was free that night.  I was oblivious to my beloved X just playing down the road.  Oh, that is really too annoying.  Well, I did see them at Summer Sonic and they were GREAT but....

Ridiculous or okay?  That's a good question.  I saw it and the jury's out.  I couldn't really follow the story but perhaps that's just me.

Also, I saw it 2 days after the earthquake.  To say the least, my mind wasn't on what I was seeing/hearing.  I just wasn't in the mood.

I saw them on Sunday.  They were, of course, GREAT!  I have no idea how they perform in the sweltering heat in all that garb, especially Toshi who was decked out in all his expensive gear, including...aggghhh...GLOVES!  OMG!

They were followed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers who are dynamic!

Important / Re: It seems that Taiji passed away...........

Are there any details on the funeral available?

Haven´t found anything until now, could be it will take a time until the body will be released if there is an investigation about the circumstances of his death

You're right.  I wonder if all the members of X will attend.  Poor Yoshiki, just when they had started to heal their relationship.  Everyone leaves Yoshiki, it seems.  The one positive thing that comes from that is that he writes beautiful music.

Help / Special Concert and Dinner - August 18th and 19th
« on: June 30, 2011, 04:22:38 PM »
I received my Toshi special box set today and inside was a postcard advertising the 2nd concert and dinner show of Toshi and Yoshiki's at the same venue (Prince Park Tower Tokyo Hotel) as in January.

Does anybody have any information on this?  It's on August 18th and 19th.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned in this thread but I'm trying to buy a ticket for Summer Sonic but you have to choose L block or R block (is this left and right???).  I don't know if it matter which one I buy but if it does, and I don't buy the block where X Japan is well...you can imagine.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Great report.  Thanks for sharing.  Brought tears to my eyes.  I wish I could have shook Toshi's hand and told him that his music encourages me everyday.  Because it does...

« on: April 02, 2011, 01:49:15 PM »
Thank you for all your kind words.

Here in Japan we are still consumed by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor problem.  Some happy stories are coming out of the tragedy and, of course, some unbearably sad ones.

Please keep Japan in your mind and hearts.

Thanks again.

It was already so beautiful with just a violin and a keyboard, wonder if Toshi will perform it with the orchestra.  Hope it will bring a lot of money raised. Good luck Toshi.

I'm sorry to hear that, Tanabata, hope for things to get better.

Thank you.  Japan will heal...slowly, slowly....

Toshi / Re: Toshi will make benefit concerts

Just got back today from the devastated areas.  I saw things you would not believe.  Beyond words.  Simply beyond words.  We are still rescuing animals, even after all this time.  So sad.  Just so sad.

Did I miss something or will us Tokyoites miss out on this charity concert?  Good for Toshi.  This is great.

Tanabata you help the animals in Japan?? OMG I wish I'd be there in order to help .... Good luck to you and your team!!

Yes, trying to help the animals.  And, in doing so, this helps people.  I pray for reunions between people and their pets.

This is so encouraging to see.  I am glad that Yoshiki, and X Japan as a whole, are committed to helping out in the relief efforts.   I have been to some of the affected areas.  The images will never leave me.  I saw things one is never supposed to see.  You cannot believe the devastation.  This tragedy will be with us forever.  Thank you Yoshiki and X Japan.

Our work continues here and we are doing our best to be of assistance to the poor animals impacted by this disaster.

Tanabata here, sticking it out in Tokyo.  I'm not running!  Japan has been good to me for nearly 10 years, not about to run away now.

Thank you all for your kind words.  And, for those who have lost friends and family in this tragedy, I send you my condolences.

Please pray for Japan.  This is a national tragedy that will take a long to get over.

Thank you again.

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki is putting his "Kawai" crystal piano on auction
« on: March 16, 2011, 03:41:26 AM »
Yeah, I think the bigger the response from X during this time could be more beneficial than them focusing on what they've been doing.  By putting up the auction for bid and it getting a- being assumptive here- huge amount from some rich whoever the hell will get attention.  X-Japan putting on a benefit show would also draw lots of attention.

The big picture here I think is being observed rather than the small scale.  I hope and encourage Yoshiki and X-Japan to take time off from the upcoming tours and use their celebrity to bring Japan from it's crippled genuflect and rise up with chin held high and metal horns in the air.

It's time for Japan to come together.  I completely agree with your comments.  I hope X Japan will do all they can to help.  Of course they have no obligation to do so but it would be encouraging for them to do so.

Now back to the animal rescue efforts...

@Tanabata: good to hear that you are well, it´s always a bit difficult to ask, how people are today inJapan or even people here who have family and friends there. so please take care of you.
@Ashemanu: the same problem like you, the piano fits perfectly into my room by style, but not by size, so what about putting our rooms together, than it will fit? :)

@Feudal:By my opinion it will enlarge their activities just to benefit the victims, I think it won´t take a long time and wil will get a lot of announcments of benefitconcert of japanese musicians and maybe it will be a push for their world tour, who knows

Elanor,

Thank you for your kind comments.

It's surely an uncertain time here in Japan.  I feel helpless but I'm frantically working via the internet to help out.  I am helping out with the animal rescue efforts...an enormous task...I want to do SO much more.  Sitting on the internet, though, doesn't seem so helpful.   I want to get out there and get my hands dirty.

I ask you all to pray for Japan.  This is a national tragedy on a scale that is difficult to comprehend.  It is quite surreal and has impacted the nation, as a whole, in many ways, both big and small.

Thank you to Yoshiki for his kindness.

I am glad to hear that.

Japan is a place of deep sorrow now.  It is relentless...the aftershocks continue.

Please pray for Japan.  I'm in Tokyo and it's scary enough here.  I cannot imagine what is like up north.
