hide / Re: hide documentary
« on: December 14, 2008, 03:31:59 AM »
This was great, nice to learn a little more about hide's friendship with Miko and to see that she is still around today. Also was nice to see/hear from Hiroshi, it's been a long time since I've seen him on camera - and it's good to see him looking in good health.

It was also supprising that I actually understood quite a lot of that, I did struggle when it came to the presenter re-enacting a two way conversation Hide was involved in :p
That bit lost me. What was that about?

Offtopic / The Likely End of TheOtherEast.com
« on: November 10, 2008, 06:34:11 PM »
Today my domain name expired, my network guy forgot to tell me it was due.  Some polish guy came and bought it. He sent me a BS ransom email saying "I don't usually sell my domain names, I bought this for 1,500$ what will you offer."  For one that's a lie, no way in hell it cost that much, second I investigated this guy and he's squatting on 160 other URLs.

Obviously I can't afford to pay this guy a grand.  So unless some break through happens, TOE will have to be born again.  I somehow doubt he'd settle for a hundred bucks or something.

So just a PSA, anything from the domain theothereast.com is not affiliated with me.

I'm relaunching later today with a new URL, but it's going to be a loooooong way back to building up my reader base who I have no way of informing of what's going on (at least not all of them). I can't really see myself joining the staffs of any other Jrock sites but I'll entertain requests.

I'll keep you all updated

Orgasm or Standing Sex.

Why? Totally stink of the whole "look at us, we are shocking and violent and breaking every taboo possible ".
I think you miss the point of X.

I personally think "Without You" is horrid.

MANY thanks to theothereast.com for this!

Obviously not enough thanks to link to me ,though
Well it wasn't a direct link but it was the address so... And I'm sure most of the people here know about your website anyway.

I spend a lot of time, and money too on my website. I've abstained from piracy out of the respect of my contacts which means I have to spend money on music.  Hits and comments are the only payment I get, don't take them from me because you "Assume" something.

Yoshiki / Re: How does Yoshiki write love songs..
« on: October 29, 2008, 10:05:18 AM »
"Yoshiki has just been through a pretty rough year,
it seems that he is starting to pick up the pieces of his life.
For hide's funeral he cut his two foot long hair off
as a sign of his misery a hide's death and as as respect
 for his passing."

?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And.

"Yoshiki organized a memorial concert for hide on September 26.
Luna Sea, B' z, Glay, globe, X, Kiss and Guns'N'Roses all played
at the concert. It was his final farewell to his friend and he
cried during it; everyone cried during it.
All of the fans were sobbing.
This emotional release was just what he needed. "

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Well for one, Yoshiki's hair was already short when hide died.

Also that band lineup was from a memorial concert that was discussed after hide died, but never happened.

I checked out the people behind Yoshikidiscovery.com and it all seems to check out as legit. Who all signed up? If anyone has a good idea or just wants to help push Jrock in the states. This would be a good place to help.
