Is this why he's been sounding so damned hoarse lately? *headsmack*

Conclusion: Everyone involved with this nonsense needs a time out.

Yoshiki / Re: YOSHIKI to undergo surgery on Monday‏

I'm trying to figure out what my reaction to this should be.
So far....I only get *facepalm* which I think is enough to summarize everything I'm feeling.

You're not alone there. But here, let me try to summarize:

It's a sort of "Can't you stay just stay in one piece for longer than a week?!" mixed with "Why does this stuff always happen to Yoshiki?" wrapped up in essence of "Oh, good God..." with a dash of "Just gotta love 'im, though." for flavoring.

Let me know in what aspects I got it wrong. :3

Toshi / Re: Toshi Live - Asakasa blitz
« on: February 25, 2010, 06:01:51 AM »
I dunno what it is, but it seems to be that jrockers just become allergic to photons after a while. (Kinda the way I developed an allergy to paper tape during my phlebotomy class...) They ALL wear sunglasses! And Toshi wears about the darked sunglasses I've ever seen. The only jrockers I can think of offhand who have avoided this affliction are Pata and Kyo of Dir en Grey.

(P.S. Just as a safety net, I don't really think they are allergic to light.)

Yoshiki / Re: RUMOR: Prepare for the news about Yoshiki getting married

....no idea who's blog that is, but it wouldn't be the first time that someone pretends to know yoshiki/'s friends/... and writes stuff like that as a result. So let's just stay calm for now, no?

Stay calm? Is this a cause to panic?

Well, if it is true, she'd better deserve him. Good luck to them.

Help / Re: Question on "LEMONed I Scream"
« on: October 21, 2009, 12:50:10 AM »
^ I figured out the "Squeeze IT" thing. Thanks. It's like a follow-up song to LEMONed. But I'll show you. Now, This is someone doing a demo by singing along with the song, but at 1:50, if you listen, she sings the regular line, and hide sings the mixed up one:

I just find this baffling. There was another vid as well, but I'm having trouble backtracking to it. Ah, well.

Help / Question on "LEMONed I Scream"
« on: October 20, 2009, 10:17:47 AM »
I was cruisin' YouTube (like ya do) and twice in a row I came across versions of Lemoned I Screem with an incongruity in the lyrics. Since I've heard the song, the line has been "I've got a a sweet broken hearted machine". But this version switched it up a bit and it's "I've got a sweet machine with broken heart". I listened several times and I'm quite certain. It's a small thing, I know, but I wonder, is this a different recording of the thing?

Also, I tried googling the lyrics to find out, and I found reference to a song called "Squeeze IT" Very few references, which make me think this is a fan thing of some kind. But the lyrics to that are kinda cool anyway.

So just curious about this little anomaly. Also, if this is something that should be general knowledge, please pardon my ignorance. ;D

And Thanks for the laugh Juno42. The idea of someone swatting him with a flyswatter each time he gets too big for his britches is a great visual.

You are welcome. I always felt that part of a fan's duty to a celebrity, once their success reaches a certain magnitude, is ego control. Maybe a lot of todays artist would go of an get into drug induced stupidity if their fanbase smacked them down and said "Hey! You're being a dumbass, knock it off." Yoshiki's behaved himself, for the most part.

I was only peripherally aware of Versailles for a long time, hadn't got around to exploring them. So I'm a little surprised at how hard this hit me. Good luck to him now, wherever he is.

I heard about it, but couldn't believe it until now. Oh, what a world... XD!

Should have someone standing by with to whack him with a flyswatter if he refuses to rest up. I can wait for him.

I know there's not much talking in that movie, but there's subtitles floating along the sides. Anyone have or want to make a translation? (I gotta get me a copy of Rosetta Stone...)

Pity. I would find that interesting. Oh wells. It'll be interesting to see what Yoshiki says about Taiji, as well.

Maybe that lovely person who translated Taiji's bio will do the same for this one. Speaking of that, it seems to have vanished. I had it bookmarked, but the translation is gone. :<

It looks like, from the pictures, that the mouth is the great similarity. That bowlike curve to the lips. It'd be hard to match those piercing eyes...

hide / Re: hide : a movie based on hide's life

I think if they ever do a hide-based movie, I think it should be animated in rotoscope in the style of Ralph Bakshi. For those of you unfamiliar with Bakshi's work, he made stuff like Cool World, American Pop, Wizards, and the animated version of Lord of the Rings. (YT any of those if you care to see.) I dunno, I think Bakshi's style would compliment hide's in a weird way. That way, also, getting the looking actor is a bit less hard, because you just draw over them anyway.

Help / Re: A dedication question.

Thank you very much for the info, all. Didn't really expect their names would be released, but on the off chance that they were I thought I'd ask. For some reason it would make me feel better about the whole mess. *shrug* I'll phrase the dedication somehow.

Help / A dedication question.
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:44:07 AM »
Greeting X-Freaks,

I hope this is the right subforum....

I have an unconventional question. About the aftermath of hide's death; I read that someone (or more) committed suicide around the time of the funeral. Can anyone tell me how many casualties there actually were (all I have been able to gather is somewhere between one and four)? Also, whether the names of these people are available. I have a story dedication to them, it'd be nice to have names for them, if they're known.
