Spread Beaver / Ever Free - Little Bitch
« on: December 17, 2006, 11:14:12 AM »
Has anyone heard the song Little Bitch by The Specials?

If not, here you go

The Specials-Little Bitch

The beginning sounds a lot like Spread Beaver's Ever Free.

Was one of Spread Beaver's members a big Ska/Specials fan?

Albums/Singles / Sadistic Desire (X singles)

Thank you for the infos, xScQ  :D

@Yoshide: Yeah, they sound different. On the Singles version, there's way more guitar and the parts when they're all shouting 'right out', 'suck blood' and so on are lower. I'm not sure but I think they changed the guitar solo parts, too.

Albums/Singles / Sadistic Desire (X singles)

Can somebody tell me anything about the version of Sadistic Desire on the X singles (1993) album?
When exactly was this made? With Taiji or after he left?

Honestly, I can't stand this version, something's just...wrong. Don't know how to explain it, it feels weird.

Anyway, I was just wondering.

Other Bands / Buck Tick

Buck-Tick is addictive!
I had no idea who they were until I heard their cover of Doubt on the hide Tribute Spirits album.
Their sound is very industrial I'd say..and I had no idiea that I could even be into that kind of music

Actually, very very very early on, Taiji for a while DID look sometimes very female - there is a youtube clip on my blog in a post "Brat Princess plays Bach" where he does, and is beautiful, actually - though I agree that for most of the time, he looks more butch than bitch.

I totally agree.

He looked very feminine to me

Not that much in this pic but with this outfit.

I made my friend listen to Kurenai once. she got really impatient because I had told her it's a kick ass song and now she only heard that slow beginning. But when the fast part started she liked it.
Then I let her listen to Dice. She thought it was ok.

Oh and some weeks ago, when I had written Sadistic Desire and X on my pencilcase she said I was crazy so I had to point out that she is the crazier one with all the pics of Xena on hers

My parents try to ignore it or don't really mind my obsession with Japanese music and just give me an odd look from time to time

Covers / Anorexia Nervosa, Dragonland & a few others
« on: December 09, 2006, 04:04:28 PM »
I've heard the first two.
Don't like Anorexia Nervosia's cover, it's just screaming.
But I really do like Dragonland's Rusty Nail, very nice tribute. And I think the guys did well on the Japanese (they're from Sweden, I think?)
