General chat / Re: we are X film / Q&A London, who is going?
« on: October 20, 2017, 12:08:38 PM »
Hijacking this thread to say that I went to see the documentary and Q&A in Helsinki on wednesday. It was great. Documentary was excellent and it shed some light to why they broke up. The Q&A was about 30 minutes and afterwards Yoshiki stayed for another half an hour for photos/signatures. I was able to get one single signed :)

During Q&A he said that the new album is about 99% ready and should be released next spring if not earlier. Also he mentioned a tour in Europe but we will see...

Here is the video of Q&A. Not sure if anyone outside Finland is able to see it though. https://www.is.fi/viihde/art-2000005415877.html

Awesome. I'll be buying that Limited edition DVD. I hope it will also be available on yesasia since I don't have experience with CDJapan. But if not, I'll get my first experience on CDJapan.

I don't see anything rare on that list. Of course some items might be rare in USA/Europe but if you do shopping on japanese auctions, these are really common there.

X Japan and Hide singles might go for around $9 -15 each. Rest might not sell that well because not so many people are interested in buying toshi/heath.

Prices depend on the condition of course.

Oh wow. I haven't read much X Japan news lately but this one is amazing as tomorrow I'll be going to near San Francisco to study. Gotta buy a ticket tomorrow after I arrive there.

edit: aah, what the heck, just bought the tickets. Wohoo!

The first press (1989) also came with Private photo book which is a small booklet of about ten pages and contains some photos about each member of X.

Albums/Singles / Re: Week End
« on: May 16, 2009, 02:04:11 AM »
I saw a picture of the single claiming to be a limited edition in whioch the cover folds out to show a pic of each member.
Since it wasn't exactly saying why that edition was listed as 'limited'...I was wondering..is that booklet thingy the part that makes it special or is this something all versions of the single have?

Weekend, Kurenai and Endless rain all have limited edition which has the booklet you described. Non-limited are like regular 8cm singles: they have only a cover which opens up instead of booklet.
Also kurenai has some shining on it and Endless rain's text is golden instead of regular silver. I wonder if weekend had something special like that in addition to the booklet, can't remember and too lazy to check.

I hope this helped you. If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask \o
I might be able to provide some pics for comparison later today. If I can get a hold of a camera.

I'm not happy with the lyrics of Break the darkness! You, or someone else if that was copied from some lyrics site, have removed all the typos :(

Here are the lyrics as they have been printed on my copy of the single ;P

Quote from: Yoshiki

Howling wolfprorling around in
the broken city
His gray crows want victim for
own desire
People who lost their dream pa-
ssing by him
The tusk of him hunger for blo-
od is ready to strik

Voice saund under the ground
Is there chuckle of the gods !

Howling wolf prowling around
in the broken city
He don't afraid the death of
him that may come tommorow
People who lost their dream pa-
 ssing by him
When his eyes shine at the vic-
tim he attack to them

Fire grow up from the ground
Is there chuckle of the gods
Is there tears of the gods
Break! Break! No more this le-
Break! Break! No more this town

This song is nothing without the wolfprorling..!

But nice job with the rest of the lyrics and translations! Good to have all of them gathered in one place. Thank you.

Albums/Singles / Re: Art Of Life & Manowar?
« on: February 02, 2009, 02:29:25 PM »
In the booklet it says:
"Special thanks to...
[lots of names], Joey(Manowar), [lots of names]"

So yes, they thank Manowar's Joey in the booklet of Art of Life. But I have no idea about the reasons why they thank him.

Please note that it's very annoying if you have to go very deep in the structure to find the posts you want to find. And it also causes more page loads -> more bandwidth used.

General chat / end of year
« on: June 10, 2008, 03:49:40 PM »
At the moment it's hard to say anything about the future because they seem to be already postponing the current scheduled concerts.

But it seems that tokyo dome hasn't yet been scheduled for any event on 31th december so at least there would be a spot free for X.

Forum Games / What was your last purchase?

Vanishing Vision album
Last Live 3cd album
hide forever version of Forever Love last mix

That's a tip for all Finns here, book your flight from Ryanair!

Heh, nice differences in prices. But way too many variables for my taste.  Remember to book enough time between each step of your plan in case there are some delays.

Quote from: "Sirimono"

or can anyone find there something big enough?

It's probably in one of those halls. Football field is about 10000 sqm so you could easily fit 20000 people in almost any of those halls since their size is way over a size of a football field.

I hope he won't play with X.

If there will be a meeting, count me in, probably. Depends on when the meeting is since I'll probably be hanging out with other finns too after the concert and probably before it too. But of course there is always time for a short visit in the meeting to meet this forum's users.
Maybe there should be two meetings. At friday and at saturday after the concert. Friday would be just to get known to each other. And at saturday we would of course be talking about the concert.

How long are you people planning to stay in Paris? I tought that if I'm going all the way to Paris, I would/could stay there for a week or two..

I'll probably be there for a week. At the moment I have been thinking from 30th june to 6th july.

Merchandise / eBay stuff I have found

Orgasm LP

Didn't expect to find this one on ebay.

X JAPAN World Tour / X JAPAN Paris and New York lives announced.
« on: April 03, 2008, 03:28:46 PM »
The price can't be too high since this is the first concert in Europe and no one has idea how much people there will be and if the tickets cost too much, even fewer people will come. Maybe the max price for a ticket is 60€ which is still quite expensive compared to other bands.

Merchandise / item?
« on: April 02, 2008, 12:17:52 PM »
Yep, it's a book. And a good book it is in my opinion. About half of the book are picture pages and other half is interviews in japanese. About 190 pages.

Wikipedia / About discography
« on: April 01, 2008, 11:30:22 PM »
The link first: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X_Japan_discography

Then to my question:

Why ThanX and Xclamation VHSs aren't on the video list anymore? They haven't been there for about year, I know, but once they were on the list. First Xclamation dropped out and few months later some noob edited ThanX too. They are stealing our VHSs! Give them back!

What I know about them, they still are official releases. I'm not sure if they have been sold anywhere but Xclamation was for fanclub and ThanX... it just was.

The only explanation I can come up with is that there should be only listed things that were released for sale. Do you think this is a good system? I don't think so. I would like to see as many X Japan releases on the discography as possible. But I quess that's just me...

And someone should edit that IV away... iTunes store release... That's sad. And wrong. Buuuu.

And Art of Life was never released on VHS... Or at least I have never seen one. If it was released, I think it was produced 100 pieces and Yoshiki kept them all in his closet. Anyone has seen AoL VHS?

Merchandise / X Japan pins ^^
« on: March 28, 2008, 09:07:19 PM »
Toy stores sell "badge machines" which can be used for making your own pins.

So if you want X Japan badges... Buy real ones from Japan.

Merchandise / Photobooks and such

Rose & Blood Tour
Live Photography

Depends on the price of course. The book has about 100 pages. First 60 pages are live concert pictures of each member and few of the whole band. Then comes the interview part which is about 20 pages and that doesn't bring much joy if you can't read japanese well. Rest 20 page are both pictures and text of each concert they played in 1990.

Something like that. In my opinion it's not worth buying unless the price is <20 dollars. It's better to buy concert, it has the same pictures.

But of course, a hard core fan will buy everything there is ;)

Other Bands / L'Arc~en~Ciel
« on: January 31, 2008, 03:08:23 PM »
I'm just going to raise this from the bottom and tell you that L'arc~en~Ciel is coming to Europe. They will have one concert in Paris on th of May this year.

I can't post any links to the sources. The official site doesn't have this info yet and it was published just couple of minutes ago in fanclub.

Maybe X Japan will follow since one of the Japan's greatest bands is coming too.

Your thoughts? Are you going?
I'm not, I'm not a huge fan of Larc and travelling to Paris from Finland costs too much. Or maybe not the travelling but whole trip. And I'm spending May in school.

Suggestions / Rumours section?
« on: January 24, 2008, 09:01:47 PM »
I don't think so. There might be a bit too wild rumours which has gets our hopes up and then comes the disappointment. Now the news section is close to the truth all the time so the disappointments can be avoided more easily.

And at the moment there is so much happening at the same time so there really is no need for rumors. Maybe we should check the need of rumour section again in few months when the situation settles down a bit.

Great to hear they are having concerts. But I wish it is just two concerts which ends the story of X Japan.
