They are all amazing musicians in their own right, imagine if they prioritised the band over solo work for the next few years…We could end up with some epic albums…one can dream.
So, based on comments Yoshiki made at the Grammy Museum press conference and Q & A, we have confirmation that there will be a The Last Rockstars album, (for what it is worth!).
A fan also asked about their second single, PSYCHO LOVE. Yoshiki confirmed that they were still "working on it".
In the perfect world, we would see another single or so this year, a full album and supporting tour next year, and then maybe a live video/album release...wouldn't that be something!
So their lawyers got some shit together enough to release a single, but not the album, or even performing together again...
... or will Yoshiki simply release the single with another singer like Red Swan?
I should feel optimistic but I feel like the single will be released, and we’ll hear nothing from X for another 5-6 years, and nothing else will ever get released from TLRS.
I hope that I’m wrong.
if Toshi is really done with X Japan - and IMO a lot of his behaviour speaks for it - then why doesn't he officially leave the band?
Wouldn't be the first time....
He isn't in the band. None of the so-called "members" are in the band. The complete X universe is owned by Yoshiki Hayashi since about 2009-ish I think... The other guys are hired for gigs and studio sessions.
It didn't took long after this concert for Toshi to remove everything related to X from his networks and refusing to talk about X.
