I don't wanna get explicit here, but please do some research. From what I've gathered just in a few minutes today it was much more going on. Some very disturbing shit. There is no excuse for shit like that. None.

I did, and you're right - if he did even a tenth of these things he's being accused of, he's in need of some quick retribution. I don't think physical abuse can be excused by calling it kink, even though I know people who actually want that kind of relationship. He should have gotten their consent in writing, like any other normal person embarking on that kind of relationship. I'm sure he has good qualities too, and maybe those are the ones he showed Yoshiki, but hopefully Yoshiki will stay far, far away from this.

I am 100% disgusted by rape, kidnapping, or sexual abuse, but I've gotta say this whole thing seems like kink shaming to me. She was 19, not 15 or 16. She knew who MM was - look at him, listen to his music, read his words - you KNOW he isn't vanilla. She stayed with him, got engaged to him at 23 or 24, and now she says he "groomed" her? Yes, it's pretty gross for a man in his late 30s to date someone so much younger, but at what age do you take responsibility for yourself? Don't get me wrong - if he actually abused anyone without their consent, he should pay and pay dearly - but it seems to me like nobody was held against their will. They kept working for him or sleeping with him. Maybe I haven't heard the whole story and I definitely don't believe in blaming the victims, but I think it's also wrong to blame someone for their consentual kinks. Just my 2 cents...
Also, poor Yoshiki! He has some bad luck for sure.

Not sure if I should laugh or cry... sure, the commercials are funny, but pimpin' for McDonalds? Really? I hope they paid him a LOT of money.

Yoshiki / Re: Announcement?

The news, or lack thereof, today has further substantiated my "RIP X JAPAN" thread. Yoshiki is beyond trustworthy at this point and it's extremely upsetting and embarrassing. I have never seen such a disgusting amount of lies and misleading of a fan base in any genre of music before.

While I still really really want to see them live and love their music, this kind of nonsense from Yoshiki has really tarnished the band's name for so many of my friends that it makes me want to cry. I don't know if he's just super needy and self-absorbed, super unlucky or super misguided, but the lighthearted way he inflicts the damage he is doing to the actual legacy of his fucking amazing band really makes me wonder is he's not just super crazy.

I'm sure other countries and cultures feel differently, and it seems like his Japanese fans are largely behind him no matter what he does, but Americans don't seem to play these drama games - at least not serious fans of music.

I'm a fairly new fan with a lot of hope for X's success with the American audience - at least hoping the past releases will develop a bigger cult following - but he's well on the way to making them a laughing stock in the circles of music business folks I run in. It's heartbreaking.

Even if the non-announcement was not a planned thing, how shitty is his staff if they let him set up this big announcement without a true confirmation from all parties? Yoshiki has the power. Heads should roll. Sheesh.

Sorry, I needed to vent.

Or else he wouldn't even want to be mainstream like all those shitty pop artists, and instead would just release and make music because he enjoys it. Like most Japanese artists do.

Well, after that "announcement" this morning I am confirmed in my belief that he either really IS a sadist and really, really likes messing with fans, or he is completely out of control of his future and situation, which I can't imagine. He apologized a lot but jeez, what a mess. Luckily for him, his fans continue to forgive him no matter what happens... and that includes me, for now at least.

OMG "yeeeeeet" made me laugh so hard. I saw a bit of one of the recent Yoshiki Channel broadcasts where Yoshiki was talking about how if he decided not to put Red Swan on the record, the record was done. The people in the room with him gasped. With that and this announcement, I really have my fingers crossed for the new album... but I know Yoshiki is a sadist, so I ain't gettin' hopes THAT high.

Yoshiki just posted in his Insta that the announcement will be about X japan.

Oh btw @mods and @admins there's a spam bot posting porno shit in the forum. Take care of him pls

Sorry but I cannot find or remember what song they are working on at this part in We Are X:

It sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Is it unreleased?

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki Master Class free in Miami

very cool!

Do you have any pics?

I did take pics, but they are really bad because - and I know this sounds stupid but it's true - I was shaking so hard! There are lots of pics out there of it that are way better than mine, but I got a couple... plus video of him arriving, which I livestreamed and cursed all the way through because I was freaking out. The whole thing is on video here: https://youtu.be/dANEgcvex0A

The funny thing about the whole trip was that a ton of my friends who aren't into the band yet watched my social media feed all about it - from me falling in love with the band a couple of years ago to finding out about the Miami thing, then my debating myself over going, then taking the plunge, going and seeing him and getting so close - and they loved it. I was feeling really fangirlish like a teenager, and I'm way too old for that - and somehow they all found it charming and followed along with bated breath! Crazy.

It was amazing. I got front row. He was gracious and funny. There were probably 200 people there tops. I don't fangirl much but I was 15 feet from him and it really choked me up. The whole thing was broadcast and though nothing really new came up, it was interesting to see him interviewed like that, by someone who was obviously an old friend.

He's making a big domain to the Frost School of Music and then holding a Master Class. Free.

When you still try to use YouTube CC Translate to tell you what the heck is going on in old videos, even though it makes absolutely no sense (but is hilarious)

Oh man, what is up with those pants Toshi... and wow, even back then Yoshiki was standing up on the drum stool! Love this! I swear there is SO much footage of this band, and thank goodness. I bet there's a ton out there that's never been put online.

I too hope Yoshiki doesn't screw himself up. I thought I read that Pata had quit drinking, but who knows - I've worked with a lot of bands, and I don't know of many alcoholic musicians that can take touring without succumbing to a drink. How sad - he's a fantastic player and seems like the most humble of the bunch.

Oh, I bet that London show was awesome - how heartbreaking! It kills me that I missed their most recent American "tour" (can you call so few shows a tour?) - I didn't know about them yet either. Seems now more folks are catching on, which is great, but that was a good chance to see them in a smaller place.

I have beat myself up over and over for not getting Coachella tickets. I probably could pull some strings and still go, but I really really hate festivals. I've been to Coachella before with one of my bands and it's not fun, even for the artists - too big, too rushed, too many idiots. I just can't sacrifice that kind of expense and time for what will likely be a 30-40 minute show. However, if something happens and that's the last one they ever do I'll never forgive myself! Is anyone here going?

Sweet! I'm gonna have to find that acoustic concert. I'm really, really, really hoping for a tour soon - tho from what I understand, this band isn't very accomodating for impatient folks...  ;D

Soo, I just watched the "official" (?) Celebration video and whaaaaaat the hell? I continue to be shocked and to laugh my butt off while uncontrollably rocking out.
Thanks y'all!

Ahah! That would explain why I couldn't find anything with a Google search - I thought it was "Voices Screaming". Thank you for the info!

And thanks for the welcome - I'm in DEEP with this band. I'm just discovering them, after years and years of working for rock bands, much to my embarrassment. After randomly watching the documentary one day, I went on a tear through all of their records and am currently working my way through all the Youtube content I can find. I'm absolutely smitten with their music and I can't even describe why to any of my friends - it's just something you have to feel for yourself, I guess. It's led me to a whole new life; I'm even studying Japanese now, hardcore. Even though it's the music that hooked me, I am really enjoying getting to know the story and their personalities. I'll even admit to a little bit of fangirling - I ran around the house screaming for about 20 minutes when Yoshiki followed me on Twitter. :D I'm so happy to find a place where I can learn more and meet people who feel the same.

Hey all! I'm new here, but I'm hoping someone can help me with a song identification. I've been watching "X Live in Tokyo Dome 1991" on YouTube and in the middle of the concert, about 1:05, Toshi, Pata and Taiji play an acoustic song. I've never heard this song! Can anyone identify it? Also, who is singing backing vocals? You can't see Taiji's face at all so I can't tell if it's him - if so, he has a great voice. Here's the link to the concert:

Thanks a million
