Pata / Re: Pata's guitar tone

o.. a lot of overdrive.yeap....pata's tone is always the standard classic rock tone but his sound from his 1959 les paul has always so much warmth in it and not as sharp which is nice. in his RA:IN days recently though, he used a wah wah pedal for some of his songs.

ooo...okie. any information about what guitar picks and what pedals he used for the concerts? I read at somewhere that he used only a phaser thru his gibson guitar and the amps.

Pata / Pata's guitar tone

Hi All,

I have seen nobody post about Pata's equipment settings yet, so I decided to ask around if anyone know the gears and pedals and picks he used. I only know he used his gibson les pauls and Hiwatt amplifiers though.

Does the complete II contain their early days for example rose and blood tour or any footage withof them with taiji as bassist? I want to get a collection which show their early days more. I am okie with heath playing but for my own personal preference, I prefer the era when taiji is bassist for X Japan. No offence to Heath fans^_^. I am not trying to compare the 2 bassists. We are all X Japan fans^_^.MC, since you have all the X Japan box sets , mind telling me which is the best for me? Thanks.

Hello All Ra:IN and X Japan fans,

It has been some time since I last posted on this forum.Well, I recently am into Ra:IN songs.Well, can anyone tell me what's the title of the song that they played in the below you tube clip. This song sounds really nice and I have been finding the title for it.Of course songs like Kai and Under the Technopolis are my favourite too.Thanks.

thanks for all the respnse ....think i will get rose and blood tour first...if cannot get...then i will get taiji's D.T.R albums.....cos now waiting for my thunder in the east album to come....got listen to some of d.t.r ballads like chain...not bad....but sounds like the stuff he did at D.T.R is way more heavy than the stuff he did at Otokaze..
...hmm....for pata stuff, heard the reviews for his solo albums and ra:in albums are not bad...haha....it will cost a bomb if i wish to collect all of them....haha.....so i think i will get D.T.R albums first lo.....see whether the music shop can get the cds from their jap supplier  a not.....
i am just glad that taiji is still making music ....will always support him and x japan....to me he's still the one that stands out for bass in j rock music bah.....
