Important / Re: It seems that Taiji passed away...........
« on: July 17, 2011, 06:30:34 PM »
It hasn't stopped raining today, I felt something was fishy. I started watching the Kyoto Sports Valley gig, and I was like oh crap, Taiji, so I came to check, well you know the rest. (Its still bloody raining, fucking "Endless Rain"). This really sucks, but I'm not gonna try and think about it too much. R.I.P. Ultimate Cowboy Bass Master

I'll talk about my personal report on the concert, pretty damn good. Waiting in the line was long, but it didn't seem that long. (Thanks to the guys who offered me and my bro cookies and thanks to the guy from xplosion who redirected us to the correct line). I enjoyed the concert a lot, I thought the length of the X concert itself was fine, and I also think the breaks and solo's were a fine length. I wouldn't talk about making them shorter, I would have instead made the Japanese Voyeurs shorter because frankly they were crap. I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for two reasons:

1. About an hour before the concert my glasses broke and I couldn't repair them, so it was like watching it with cataracts.
2. I hardly saw Pata (I think just during the encore that I saw him) because there was some guy infront of me swinging his fists around.

Getting to the actual venue was a laugh, we planned to walk from victoria to shepherds bush. I printed off maps before hand, but you remember that really bad rain? Well yeah, you know what happens. We managed to make it walking though, took us like 3 hours.

I'll have to ask my brother where we are staying, I don't think it's too far away from the venue.

Wohooo i just got mine!

but actually which is better stall or lv 1?

Personal preference really unless you're one of those people who wanna be right up next to the stage, I got lvl 1 seats because I wanna sit down and I prefer being higher than the stage (even though I'll probs be standing alot anyway) The venue isn't that large anyway so we will all get a fair view.

Seating plan:

For the record I got my tickets this morning, so they should be rolling them all out now.

EDIT: heh, mine is the O2 empire ticket.
EDIT2: Just a thought, sanorin, your ticket just says general admission and seat, so doesn't that mean you'll be able to choose any tier, any seat? Whearas mine says level 1 unreserved, seat. I'm just saying I know your face don't steal my seat heh. (Joking). Though I just hope they have done this venue transfer correctly and no one gets dissapointed.

News / Re: New X Japan song in Pre-production

Am I the only one who don't like the idea of rerecording old songs in english?
I was listening the english Kurenai from NA tour. It is TOTALLY weird. Same for Silent Jealousy, which is "partially" in english.

They became what they are with japanese songs. Look at Luna Sea, they did a World Tour without songs in english (and without cancellations, l0l) and was successful. Why X need this?

Check NA tour videos... Rusty Nail in english, nobody following because nobody know the lyrics, but everybody screams "Oh Rusty Nail", the only part they know. Bizarre.

It doesn't bother me too much. Hold on, I always get confused, didn't english Kurenai come 1st?, like in their old club gigs and in vanashing vision?. To be honest I think re-recording the songs in english will break some of the western ignorence which I've come across. "Bahhh, it's in japanese, they're called X Japan" now you can reply to your friend "Well, that's where you're wrong" Though, either way it doesn't bother me if the songs are in english or japanese.

When I saw they were playing in the UK, I e-mailed my brother straight away, and I was like "go with me!" He went "defo!". I also have two friends who said they'd come but were also saying to me "Wait for a bit so we can get 4 tickets at the same time because I can't quite afford it" These 2 friends like X since fairly recently and don't realise the popularity of X.

I even said to them I bet they will sell out straight away and have to be moved to a larger venue. I don't think they realise people from all over the world will come to london and other countries in europe to see them and make their own holiday/personal tour out of it. I made good judgement and just bought tickets for me and my brother straight away since I knew they would sell quickly.

Anyway I can't waaaaait. I wish I lived closer to London though rather than Wrexham (need to book a hotel) Being a massive Luna Sea fan aswell Sugizo will be there woooo. WE ARE.......

PS Can't wait to see some Princess Yoshiki cosplay
