hide / Re: Did hide compose X Japan solos?
« on: November 04, 2011, 06:26:20 AM »
Playing a particular instrument and composing for it doesn't really correlate, so I'd think Yoshiki composed at least some of the solos if not all of them for the songs he wrote. How do you think symphonies are made? :) You don't need to master guitar to write notes for it.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X JAPAN's world tour plans for 2011

Maybe it's some kind of "contest" or something, like if u offer your flight you get to meet the band or something like that... Doesn't make sense if it's just a joke.

I just realised this morning on Kyoji's facebook message that she had passed away :'C She introduced me to Kyoji's music too. I had a few conversations with her on fb, such a lovely person <3

Hello from long time :)

Since I have posted my stuff here before and X Japan is a big influence for me since the dawn of time, I thought it would be appropriate to post a link to my new band.

We've just finished our self-produced and home made album. Download 320kbps mp3's from our site: http://karmia.asia
Or listen directly on Facebook: http://listn.to/karmia (Like us if u like it =))

All the tracks are pretty different, from metal to ballad and blues...

Also we are looking for a drummer living in Helsinki or nearby 8)

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan North American Tour
« on: October 03, 2010, 06:08:28 PM »
At loud concerts especially near the stage the music actually sounds much better with good ear plugs

15
Looks awesome, I'm also worried about Yoshiki's head falling off before Europe =D

16
Taiji has the most awful sunglasses, he should wear Rayban Aviators or something 8)

17
Taiji probably didn't have much time to rehearse many songs. Wasn't it at the press conference just a few days before the concert when he said he didn't even know yet which songs they would play? What I wonder is that I thought there was supposed to be "a new song from Sugizo" or something, what happened to that...?

aaagh, dumbass reporter!

"And the group’s high-frequency violin chords and torrent of piano notes helped the reception of their Japanese song “Kurenai.”

Why are they talking aboiut Kurenai as if its a ballad?

Probably means the intro, first hide playback and Toshi, then Yoshiki and Sugizo... Guess it does help if you hear the song for the first time.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: THE Lollapalooza Thread!
« on: August 07, 2010, 05:03:23 PM »
Yeah... Usually people bring at least their own guitar and bass heads and drums etc., cabinets are easy to rent... It just takes that hour to plug all the stuff, put drums and drum microphones together and do the sound check and so on. When you have a concert of your own you get to rehearse on the stage. Most bands arrive like couple of hours before their slot because they have other festivals sometimes even the same day. Well that's how it's here in Finland anyway....

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: THE Lollapalooza Thread!
« on: August 07, 2010, 03:40:38 PM »
I thought it is important also to have rehearsal on the stage of performing, to know how it feels to be there and so further. In theater at least it is so, mayby in music that is not so important to feel the stage? I don't know.
Anyway, I wished it was already tomorrow  ;D
I am so very curious  :D

This is not possible with festivals where there are so many bands, there's just little time to change the equipment between bands...

"Written by Guest on 2010-08-05 10:00:05

The source for the article was Yoshiki himself who did not deny anything said during the interview. All other information came directly from the publicist who had no problem with the article either."

WTF!?!

I think you stress way too much about like everything.

Yoshiki / Re: New Yoshiki LA Times Article
« on: July 25, 2010, 08:53:33 PM »
Ah ok. Well I don't think he's reluctant. I've always had the impression that Pata's just less "egoistic" or whatever... Just a guy who wants to play guitar in a band but not be the center of attention. From what I've seen him with other projects (not that much though) I think he's about the same. I might be wrong :) I can't see any reason why he wouldn't want to conquer the west.

Yoshiki / Re: New Yoshiki LA Times Article
« on: July 25, 2010, 05:12:16 PM »
There seems to be general reluctance on Pata's part to really feature; he shows up, he does his bit, he's by far and large extremely reticent whether with his bandmates or the fans. I didn't follow Ra:In so I have no idea how he's like when he's with them, but where X is concerned he seems very "meh" about it all.

Has Pata ever been any different with X...? :)

Some parts work and some just doesn't because of the wrong notes and weird tempo/pacing...

I don't really get what happens in Kurenai... The bad guys just shoot some arrows and burn the house. They surround that chick but then flee and leave her alive. Oh my fucking god it's Yoshiki let's run guys?! :) But I like the visuals very much :) Well I don't think it's gonna be cut like that in the actual pv anyways....

LOL Now you can do a shout on fever X Japan. It's funny  ;D
But I don't understand how to do is, I can't understand the Japanese.
Can anyone help? I understand that you can do it with Twitter but I don't know how.

http://legend-x.jp/shout/

I guess you just write "#x_shout http://legend-x.jp/shout/" in your twitter to promote them.

I tried :) http://twitter.com/InTheWakeOfEden
