Did Sugizo have a new S-II guitar custom built for the X concerts???

I'm not talking about the V-style guitar; I mean the "S" style with the chrome "brilliant -mixed media-" top.

It's not an S-I or an S-III or the new S-VIII that he had made for "One Night Deja Vu"... I don't think anyone's seen it before O_o;;;

Well, here's what's certain...

1) 24 frets
2) Floyd Rose style locking bridge, not a vintage tremolo bridge as featured on his new guitars
3) Two passive pickups... humbucker and single coil... both with exposed magenetic poles

By its specifications, it technically IS an S-II with a different neck pickup (original one had a SCR-1n 'cool rails' pickup)

However... we certainly have NOT seen one with a "Brilliant -mixed media-" top... unless I'm mistaken? o.o;;;

General chat / Yoshiki is getting repetative...
« on: December 16, 2007, 06:22:07 PM »
Has anyone noticed that Violet UK's "Mary Mona Lisa", TRAX's "Scorpio", and X's "I.V." are all essentially the same song? Both structurally and musically? Looks like Yoshiki's a bit creatively empty :lol:

hide / Happy Birthday to hide!(and a question about his influences)
« on: December 13, 2007, 02:59:11 AM »
43! (first post here, btw)

Does anyone know what music hide listened to? What inspired him?

I'm trying to track his specific influences. So far, I have: KISS, Guns 'n Roses, Vow Wow, Dead End, Nine Inch Nails, the Damned, the Doors, and the 69 Eyes.

Any insight regarding bands that influenced hide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
