Offtopic / HELP Please: Typhoon Ondoy, Philippines
« on: September 29, 2009, 05:02:14 AM »
As most you know --- Philippines is my homeland.
I may not have lived there...
I may only be partial in race as a Filipino.
But I have to do this.

Accounts in the news look bad, but hearing from the real people out there...
6ft - 20ft of water in the whole city of Manila...
Depending on where you are... cannot even be an "OMFG"-ing matter.
And this is no exaggeration...
My house back there, the ground floor was fully submerged.
As for the people renting in our place...
I have no idea where they went.
And had there not been another floor in my cousin's place...
My relatives would have nowhere to go.

With that... and not to mention people who lived near the rivers...
Or places that are lower...

I believe you guys can more or less, picture how it was.

This was the first time in decades a flood like that happened again...
It was during 1960's (I heard) and it took 2 weeks to flood the whole city like that.
But this, this one... it happened overnight.

OVERNIGHT ---

For the whole day, Sunday --- the whole city was like swallowed by the sea.
People drowned, over 30,000 are in serious need of rescue, afloat on their washed away roof tops
Some are just swimming and waiting for help. Others, lost and washed away.

I can't express how I feel about this, but I didn't sleep easy for the past few days.
For those who know anyone who could help. Please do pass this note on.
Please ask other Filipinos in your country to help their countrymen
and their relatives back there.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD --- let's do something about this.

hide / FACT: hide's Real Zodiac Sign...
« on: July 07, 2009, 02:19:09 PM »
The 13th sign of the zodiac, unlike the other 12 signs is actually associated with a real person. In the 27th Century BCE in Ancient Egypt lived a man known as Imhotep. Imhotep was known as ‘Aesclepius’ by the Ancient Greeks, however the attributes are the same under either name.

Ophiucus / Serpentarius - The Serpent holder

One of Imhoteps abilities was healing and it is said that it was he who introduced it to mankind. His accomplishments also included a wide knowledge of medicine. The serpent or snake symbol which is still used today to symbolize the medical profession was also used to represent Imhotep. Below is a list of attributes associated with the Serpent Holder, Imhotep i.e Aesclepius. The descriptions below are associated with the 13th sign - Ophiuchus.

Imhotep

    * Many people are envious of this subject as he progresses well throughout life.
    * A seeker of wisdom and knowledge
    * Many people are jealous of this person
    * Tends to go for the more flamboyant in dress sense, favouring bright colours.
    * Authority looks upon him well.
    * Would make a great architect or builder.
    * Number 12 is this persons lucky number.
    * This person will have a big family but leave home at an early age.

This is the Zodiac as some astrologers believe it should be:

ARIES = APRIL 19 - MAY 13
TAURUS = MAY 14 - JUNE 19
GEMINI = JUNE 20 - JULY 20
CANCER = JULY 21 - AUG 9
LEO = AUGUST 10 - SEPTEMBER 15
VIRGO = SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER 30
LIBRA = OCTOBER 31 - NOVEMBER 22
SCORPIO = NOVEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 29
OPHIUCHUS = NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 17
SAGITTARIUS = DECEMBER 18 - JANUARY 18
CAPRICORN = JANUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 15
AQUARIUS = FEBRUARY 16 - MARCH 11
PISCES = MARCH 12 - APRIL 18

Ophiuchus was better known in classical times as Asclepius, [in Latin, Aesculapius] the God of Medicine. He learnt the art from Chiron, the Centaur. On either side of Ophiuchus in the heavens lie the two parts of the sign of the serpent he holds, Serpens Caput, the Serpent's Head and Serpens Cauda, the Serpent's Tail. The twined serpent staff is the badge of the medical profession to this day. [However, the sign of the serpent itself does not form part of the Real Solar Zodiac, though it does from part of the Planetary Zodiac.] It is from the Serpent that Ophiuchus learnt the secret of the Elixir of Life.

Ophiuchus is always shown with his foot resting on Scorpius, the Scorpion. This is especially apt. In Greek star lore the Earth Goddess Gaia sends Scorpius to kill Orion, the Hunter, who has threatened to hunt down all the animals of the Earth - a tale with resonance for modern times. Scorpius stings Orion, who would have died had it not been for the intervention of Aesculapius (Ophiuchus). Aesculapius gives Orion a sip of the divine Elixir and restores him to health.

The even older Babylonian version is slightly different. Here the serpent is Tiamat, the Monster of the Bitter Ocean. Holding Tiamat is Marduk, the Sun God of the Babylonians. They are doing battle together in the eternal fight of good against evil.

I bet you all anything --- hide knows of this ^ ^

Hi --- I haven't dropped by here in awhile.
For those who are in my myspace, I guess you know why.
But I want to get in touch with other hide fans here...

I want to know how you all have been doing the past hide week, and finally on this day.

I'm sure some of you have also prepared something for him...
Please do tell, take pics or videos and post them here.

This is what Mizuki and I did...

Other than that --- those who haven't please drop by www.psyence.co.cc

Goodbye

Say good bye, just good bye.
To all the troubles, good bye.
Say good bye, just good bye.
Without fearing change, good bye.

Aimlessly, just walking around.
To the treasures of these tired days, good bye.
Moving foward, all these signs,
They're just the same wind as long ago.

If you can't find a way,
In all the winding roads,
Put your hands in the air and go round & round.
I find myself trembling of the unseen land,
So I ask a small song.

Please songs tell me true.
Your melody,
It's ringing where ever I go.
If ever I'm lost, all alone,
If I can hear it, I start walking again.

Say good bye, just good bye.
Without fearing pain, good bye.
Unable to carry everything with my two hands,
I leave all my memories behind.

Please sings tell me true.
Your melody,
It's ringing where ever I go.
If ever I'm lost, all alone,
If I can sing it, I start walking again.

Goodbye...

NB: Gomen if it all sound a little off, I felt a little choked when I did this...
you all can tell, we both miss him. and all... but yeah.

hide / hide @ live.co.jp
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:43:06 AM »
I was supposed to post this on "FACTS: I bet you didn't know this" but I think this should be on hide's thread.

I know this might sound crazy... but I HAVE FOUND hide'S WEBSITE.

If you type it on the normal browser... live.co.jp does not point to hide's network anymore, it is now pointing to MSN Live since 2005. Before that --- for those who didn't know or didn't get the chance to see the real live working site... --- here are a few information and "screen captures" (yes, you are wondering how I screen captured them, huh? --- I actually traveled through time) of the infamous LIVE NETWORK that hide's official site was set on along with sites of his friends and other artists.

The first version of live.co.jp --- quite plain huh? I would like to tour you around the other links on the site but I have no time, maybe I will update this post next time. I will only tour you guys on hide's site. You will find a lot of names on this site --- some you can just google and might get more information on those people. Mind you, most of these are artists... not like hide though, being musician/celebrity and all --- they are more of ARTS people.

When you click the link "hide" on the LIVE NET homepage... this is where you end up on. Apparently, the site was still under construction. The white part at the top is a flash video which is of course, right now is not available anymore. Somehow, the "archiver" that I used to extract this website still managed to retrieve some of hide's link buttons. The site was named "ROCKET"

Through 1997-2004 --- live.co.jp maintained it's appearance like what is shown above.

This was the last face of live.co.jp before the website expired................

...... and was taken over by MSN Live up to this day.

From 1998 the website was finally done and changed its title to "EVERFREE" --- and was maintained by a LIVE NET staff. Her name is ISA. I wish I knew more.. but this is the only given information about that staff. And we do not need to stalk her anyway.

Upon entrance to live.co.jp/hide --- this is what's seen, hide's personal homepage. Not using flash but only simple html, but it was a really clean and brilliant design. The image is an image map on which you can click up the sections of the website.

Lower down was the footer --- as you can see.... hide's site was really popular. The email there clicks to psyence@live.co.jp , it used to be hide's personal / official email address, right now we do not know who owns the MSN live account, but whoever that is --- is ONE LUCKY person. And hide fans  will die to have that email, I personally have considered tracking down the owner of that email and make an offer he/she can't refuse, so that I could have that email address.

On the more recent versions of the website, we could see that the counter has been changed to a more customized version. I'm not sure if the counter was reset also.

This is the mailing list page.... Not much... I can't really convert the text on the website. Sorry about that. But I am quite sure the text was in Japanese characters but the encoding must be an outdated version so all these weird characters appear. If it was in English, then it is still not viewable now for the same reasons.

This is the mailing list application form. No, it does NOT work anymore.

hide likes to keep in touch with fans and so he has this guest page, that was called "board" where you can leave some love to hide. The form obviously does not work anymore and additional to that... the messages are not viewable anymore because the database does not exist on the LIVE.co.jp server anymore.

And of course, the famous "hide's voice" --- As you can see, this is is hide's diary. It remained intact because the page was in html and not using any particular database. Which is good if......... we are able to read these alien characters. However, I found it funny that only the January part is available... In 1998, hide blog-ed up until one month before he passed away. I am guessing that "ISA" didn't manage to complete this section or she found it hard to do so after hide's death.

However, fear not --- for there is an actual translation of hide's voice somewhere in the net.

here is the link >>> www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/8600/hidev.htm (some of you may know this link already)

it was an official translation approved by hide himself... so yeah, go stalk this DAHLIA girl if you want to or even this KANAKO who translated the entries.

And here is hide's link list ---- he's so adorable!!!

For those who wants to hop around the net here are the sites that hide officially handpicked to be showcased on his website. Some of these sites do not exist anymore, most of the fan sites are mobile websites --- you can view these sites via the link that I got "hide's" site from .................

unfortunately... (because i'm such a b!tch)
I will only give them to those who personally asks for it.

Fanmade music videos / hide: Line to Heaven
« on: March 21, 2009, 07:19:34 AM »

Just did this . .
Hope you all like the song I chose.

Here's the lyrics:

Heaven knows I've done no wrong
I only want to sing this song
To you...
Why did it have to end this way?
Only a fool like me could say
To you...

If I ever have a line to heaven
I swear...
I'll call you there.
If I ever have a line to heaven
I swear...
I'll be there tonight.

Where will I without you now?
I have to make it through this life
Somehow...
Only time will tell me so
All the things I need to know
Somehow...

If I ever have a line to heaven
I swear...
I'll call you there.
If I ever have a line to heaven
I swear...
I'll be there

How will I find the answers
To all the questions I've been hiding inside?
And all the fun and laughter
We shared...
All have to set
Aside...

Offtopic / Favourite song lines
« on: March 18, 2009, 08:14:31 AM »
Most of the time when I listen to a song its mostly about the melody and how it makes me feel. But lyrics do make a huge impact on why you will like a particular song. Post here the song that you like and why you like it by putting the particular part of it's song lyrics.

Here is one, Always by Bon Jovi

"I'll be there 'till the stars don't shine, 'till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme"

It's sooooooooooo touching!!!

The next poster will put a caption or like a sub for the previous poster's avatar.

Example: if Ryo-Ohki was the previous poster before me... the caption will be:

"Ehh.... what's up doc?"

it can be anything you can come up with...

----- I will start.

hide / hide : a movie based on hide's life
« on: March 03, 2009, 05:01:09 AM »
i know some of you hide fans there like me have once had this idea on their wish list... a full, high budget, fairly casted and written / directed fairly kind of movie that is thoroughly based on hide's life from childhood to rockstardom, his family, his love, his dreams, everything in between and his death.

imagine a DVD set with that movie... behind the scenes, casting... and extra special stuff with interviews of people who knew hide and from where they got the whole plot of the movie from. places where hide been or grew up at... the real settings... and special stuff like after hide died --- the museum and all...

sounds like an expensive DVD? --- I will still buy it if it ever come to!

of course it won't be a movie that will reveal too much, that will be like a freaky documentary or something. and what is the use of a movie if it is being told like so...

someone i imagined who can act as hide on a movie and resembles him a bit --- Matsuda Ryuhei

what do you guys think of him?

and maybe yoshiki's brother as yoshiki...  ::) :P kidding.

oh well...

i hope someone will make one...
