It's this weekend!!!  ;D Although I refuse to let myself believe it's actually happening until I'm sat inside the Tokyo Dome.
I set off for Tokyo on Thursday, it's my first time there so I'm really excited!

wow !!!!!!!!!! B sectino is realli cool !!
how could you get the tickets ???

I had to go through a buyer and get it off the Yahoo Japan auctions. It was pretty expensive, but there were a lot of tickets for the same price that were a lot further away. :)

My ticket came today!!!! Best 9am wakeup call I've ever had ;D I have a pretty good seat too! It's in the B section according to the seating chart darkcat posted, towards the left hand side.

And I don't know if anyone's seen this already, but there's a poll up on the official site asking which songs we want to hear them play live.

I have a ticket!!! ;D
It's on its way to me now! I've been tracking it on the Parcelforce site, and it was last tracked at Heathrow Airport! Just knowing it's in the same country as me makes me really happy! Especially since I had a nightmare about it last night, it got to the day of the concert and my ticket hadn't arrived  ::)

It's just been released on DVD in the US (about a week ago, I only found out yesterday) for anyone that wants it. I'm not sure about any other countries, but I know it's not out until March here in the UK. Luckily, amazon.com imports :D

I bought the soundtrack when it first came out and I was definitely impressed, I can't wait to see the film!

Well I'm just arming myself with a camera and being a tourist all day, so I can make any time :) Do you think there'd be a different time you all could make it?

I'm setting off tomorrow, I can't wait ;D

maybe I'll come around.. dunno, I'm staying there with a friend^^

You should come! The more the merrier!

Edit: Okay, I'm setting off for the airport in the next few minutes :) I'll be able to keep on eye on this thread in case you guys decide when to meet, but I won't be able to post anything, so just take for granted I'll be there. See you in Paris!!!

That's fine with me (of course I'll have to find it first, which will probably take me a while  ::)) I was planning on going to Champs Elysées anyway, so that works out pretty well!

The afternoon would be fine for me. Now we just need people! :) And we need a place. I haven't been to Paris since I was 13, so I have absolutely no idea about where to go. ::)

« on: November 17, 2008, 09:22:49 AM »
Hey! I figured I'd start a new thread for anyone going to Paris. I wasn't sure where to post it, but I figured I'd just put it with the other meetup topics  :)

Is anyone still wanting to meet up in Paris? I'll be there by myself for a few days, so it'll be nice to have some company. And, y'no, some drinks  :D  Plus it'll be cool to meet up with some other X fans!

The 22nd would probably be the easiest, since anyone that's still going will definitely be there on that date. What do you think?

maybe they made the preregistration to see how many people are interested in tickets and realised that they would sell not enough? which is not really a big surprise when you look at the timing...

I was thinking that last night. :(

I'm not pleased... okay, so that's a HUGE understatement, but if I start ranting about how severely pissed I am, I don't think I'd be able to stop. :'(

And I just read this on Ticketnet:

"CONCERT REPORTE JANVIER 2009 à Confirmer", which according to Babelfish means "CONCERT DEFERS JANUARY 2009 To confirm". I guess we'll know more after the press conference.

Well a saturday would be a lot more convenient for me, since I never work sundays, but I could possibly arrange to have another day off if it wasn't on a saturday. I don't have any plans in the near future, so I could probably attend whenever, so I'll just wait for everyone else's suggestions :)

Yea I went to Jabez Clegg a few months ago for a gig. I'd never been there before, and I thought it was a lot closer to the train station than it actually was. Nobody I asked knew where it was either, I was walking for hours before I actually found it  ::)

I'm looking forward to this, it'll be cool to meet everyone before Paris... and to speak to someone who actually knows who X are! ;D Do you have a general idea of when it's going to happen? Or are you just waiting for everyone's input?

I'd definitely be up for that , I'm from the North West myself so it's a lot cheaper than the London meetup!  :)

Manchester would be awesome (means I only have to sit on one train for 2 hours, plus I know my way around), but I'd be cool if it was somewhere else. I've never really been there for a night out, so the only decent bar I know there is the Salisbury. It's close to Oxford Road train station, and they play decent rock music (or at least I think they do... I've only been once and I was FAR from sober ;D).

It'd be easier for me to attend if it was on a saturday as I don't generally work weekends, but if it's another day I could possibly kiss up to my boss and get the day off.

And www.megabus.com also do really cheap coaches (for future reference - if you book early enough, you can get to London for £2.50. Amazing.)

Hmmm... I may be able to come to this one. It'll depend on work, but if I can get it off I might :)

I'm coming from England too, I'm flying on the thursday though. I'm making a holiday out of it :) I'll be by myself and I can't speak French either, so it'll be interesting to see how I manage to navigate myself around haha.

Best: Lucero. They're completely unknown over here (and yet they still come over, gotta love that!) so they play tiny tiny pubs, to really small crowds. And there's always about 5 people at the front, including me, singing along. They pretty much play completely requests as well, which is ace. I've seen them a bunch of times, but the best was back in November. I got to chat to them for a while before the set, and then they played for AGES (at least 2 hours). And I got to sing on stage with them too.

Worst: Probably HIM in Prague,I was so dissapointed that I left before the end of concert

I've seen HIM and I also thought they were rubbish. He can't sing live. At all. My Chemical Romance were also really really bad.

Lucs: Scrubs is ace! I got into it really late too, but that meant I had lots of episodes to watch :)

I would however recommend you to, after finding a suitable hotel, booking directly with the hotel and not with booking.com as it probably adds a bit onto the price (no idea how much though).

Yes, I'd definitely recommend comparing prices before booking anything :) It most likely does add a little onto the price, but it really does come in handy if (like me) you're ridiculously impatient.

And I second the tripadvisor comment, it's really helpful when finding somewhere to stay.
